This shop just opened recently, and I wanted to go since I already went to the one in Sangenjaya, that was a really good value for money. The shop in Koenji didn't disappoint at all, the food was good and cheap (mostly chicken but you can get some other meat - there was a special for horse meat!) and the drinks were plentiful (draft beer at 190 yen!!). The staff, while very young, was very nice and fast. We were 6 and stayed there for two hours and a half, and just paid 2,500 yep per person, which is really cheap! The atmosphere is lively, so not the best place for a quiet and romantic date, but perfect for a good moment laughing, eating and drinking with friends!

I've been to shinjidai in shinjuku and takadanobaba before. but this branch in koenji is much better.

My husband often goes to the Shibuya branch and suggested we go, so we tried the Koenji branch. We went around 6 p.m. on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded, so we got in right away. It was my first time, but the drinks are super cheap! I was surprised! It's amazing that draft beer is cheaper than canned beer! And it tastes like regular draft beer!! Highballs are super cheap too! 150 yen, what?! That's how I felt. The Denkushi were crispy and crunchy, one skewer disappears in no time, and I ate 5 by myself. Yet somehow they're not greasy and go suuuper well with drinks. These are addictive — highly recommended. The yodare-dori was different from what I imagined, but it's made with mature hen so it's chewy, great as a drinking snack. These prices are amazing in this day and age. We'll be back. The drinks are crazy cheap! I didn't like chicken skin, but since it's their specialty I tried it, and was surprised how good it was! It's crispy so it isn't greasy, and the sweetness of the sauce goes so well with it — addictive! Perfect as a snack with drinks.
