A small yakitori shop I dropped into on a whim after work. This time I chose fresh sasami tataki and a varied skewer assortment. One bite blew away the day's fatigue. Beyond the counter, the charcoal fire flickers. Inside the smoking-permitted shop, office workers and local regulars create a comforting atmosphere. It's a space like a grown-ups' hideaway, where you can slowly enjoy your food while smoking. The sasami tataki is amazingly fresh and tender. The skewer assortment includes tsukune, liver, and gizzard, each offering a different flavor. You can feel the craftsmanship and care in every skewer. Payment is cash only. This commitment, with a slight Showa-era feel, further enhances the shop's charm. A little hideaway of a shop, slightly removed from Ogikubo's bustle. Thank you for the meal.

A return visit after about 2 years. It's a nice place with an open atmosphere when the weather is pleasant, such as in spring or autumn. First, I ordered a Baisu Sour 550. The otoshi was vinegared imitation crab and cucumber, 300? The Baisu Sour felt a little pricey, but the serving was generous, so I was satisfied. I remembered the yakitori being underwhelming last time, so today I ordered only skin and gizzard, 180×2. Yep, not much flavor…. I ordered the chicken liver sashimi 780, which had good reviews, and my favorite tataki 800. The chicken liver sashimi is light, being chicken. Its savoriness differs from beef liver, so I probably won't need it next time. You eat it with sesame oil with salt settled at the bottom, but the salt wasn't tasty, so I couldn't get through it…. Then I sprinkled on the 2 table condiments also shown in the photo, and it became decent. What a relief. The sasami tataki is delicious. I'm glad I ordered it. In the end, this may have been the only food I found delicious. However, when I ordered cold sake, I could choose Akita's Yuki no Bosha 800, and that was delicious! Ultimately, including the atmosphere, I was able to relax, so I'm satisfied. Next time I think I'll nibble on tataki while sipping a drink. The bill was around 3600.

The taste, prices, the staff's manner, and comfort were all good. There aren't many places that make me want to go back, but I'll definitely visit this one again. I don't know whether it's famous locally, but I've found a good place. Taste, price, hospitality, atmosphere, everything is great. Not too many restaurants that I feel like visiting again, but I’ll definitely go back to this place again. I’m not sure if this place is well-known among locals, but I feel lucky about finding it.
