APRIL 2023 There are several branches for this restaurant and only this location accepts reservation for one person. Inside was very small and if I remember correctly they have only 3-4 counter grills, and the chef will explain each cut of wagyu while they prepare and grill the meat for you. All you have to do is watch in anticipation and enjoy the different cuts paired with the recommended condiments and sides. All the wagyu are high grade; very tender and meaty with a good amount of marbling effect which was not too heavy on the stomach. The course started off with what seemed to be a standard yakiniku with standard slices of wagyu but later it only got more intense with a whole chateaubriand steak grilled and cut into chunks served on rice with garlic soy butter which was a flavor explosion. Then there was a tenderloin filet katsu sando which was buttery and breaks apart with no effort, balanced with the tangy sauce and mustard seeds. Also their version of sukiyaki was a thicker than standard slice of sirloin paired with sweet onions on rice with a creamy egg yolk. It was a very delicious and satisfying meal, the chefs were friendly and very hospitable which made it an enjoyable dining experience. Definitely well worth the price.

View on Google🇯🇵 - 東京 - 杉並 「A yakiniku experience exclusively for solo diners, limited to 3 people per day」 【SATOブリアン7番】 A 3-minute walk from the north exit of 阿佐ヶ谷 Station. This is 7番, part of the SATOブリアン group, located very close to the main restaurant. Since first trying 「昼ブリ」 in 2019, I’ve visited the main restaurant, にごう, and さんごう, and this time, 7番. This was my 9th visit to the group, and it has firmly become an annual tradition. Limited to 3 people per day, exclusively for solo diners. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays, open only on weekdays. At a counter prepared for just 3 people, the griller carefully cooks each dish one at a time. This time, our griller was 菊池, the manager of にごう. Peach sorbet Alongside the signature original spice blend, there was also the wasabi spice introduced last year. It has a sharp aroma but restrained heat. It lightens the richness of the fat and brings out the meat’s savory flavor even more. The サーロイン is thinly sliced and briefly seared in a yaki-shabu style. With plenty of ponzu and grated daikon, even the fatty sirloin tastes refreshing. ■ブリめし 👍 A dish that impresses me no matter how many times I eat it. The rice is おぼろづき from 東川町, 上川郡, 北海道. It is cooked plump and glossy, with restrained stickiness. It does not overshadow the meat’s flavor and pairs beautifully with sea urchin. It left an impression again this time. ■ブリカツサンド This was the dish where I noticed a difference from previous visits. The bread had changed from its previous crisp texture to soft sandwich bread made with added water+whole wheat flour. Apparently, even regulars are divided over their preference, but personally, I find both delicious. Considering that it comes near the end of the course and is followed by 冷麺, I felt this softer bread made it easier to enjoy everything to the end. ────────────────── With full service at the counter, all the grilling is left in their hands. I enjoyed chatting with the staff over the meal, and once again, the time flew by. Limited to 3 people per day, exclusively for solo diners. I think it has been perfected as more than simply eating yakiniku alone: it is a 「yakiniku experience for solo diners」 that can only be enjoyed here. Thoroughly satisfied again this time. I would like to return next year. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleIf you want an upscale yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo that takes reservations for 1 person, this is probably the one; the others all require at least 2 people to book It’s in 阿佐ヶ谷, which is rather far from the city center, so after coming here you could plan a visit to 吉祥寺 or somewhere farther out The restaurant is quite small, with only about 3 grills, truly suited to solo diners Everyone has a professional grilling for them, so you don’t have to grill anything yourself or worry about ruining it; they really are professionals It starts with kimchi and salad The onion next to the kimchi is really delicious, not pungent at all, seriously impressive, and the salad is delicious too The first dish is simmered wagyu, very soft and tender, with daikon too, fragrant and delicious Then the grilling begins, starting with beef tongue and beef from 神戶 and 鹿兒島 The quality is all excellent, the beef tongue has a lovely springy bite, and they grill it just right, really fantastic They recommend different dips for the 神戶 and 鹿兒島 beef, and their sauces are really delicious, blending with the wagyu fat as you eat Next is a slice of very premium beef; my food-related English isn’t that good, so I didn’t understand what it was, but it was truly delicious, and they use it to wrap something resembling grated daikon Next is a steak, fairly thick, but despite the thickness it’s so tender it melts when you bite into it, delicious both on its own and with sauce Then comes beef rib meat, served with rice, and it really goes perfectly with rice The sukiyaki beef comes with an egg yolk added to eat with rice, incredibly delicious and perfect with rice, so silky and the sauce is delicious too The steak sandwich is crisp outside, soft inside, and quite thick; I really liked this too The final few dishes are ramen and dessert After the whole meal, I think this price is reasonable, and it really fills you up, plus it’s delicious; I’ll come again next time
