From the outside, it looks exactly like a coffee shop. Inside there are 6 small tables. The air conditioning is weak, so wear something cool! You can order individual dishes at lunch, but everyone was getting sets, so we did too. The tom yum has strong garlic and fish sauce flavors and a proper kick of heat. The chilled tom yum is refreshing! They are completely different, so definitely try comparing them. A place I would like to visit at night too.

The interior was dim and the air conditioning ineffective, all the staff were foreigners, and I was the only customer. Just when I thought I had picked the wrong place, the food turned out to be delicious. I had ガイパッポンカレー, a dish I had never tried before: some kind of curry-flavored creamy mixture packed with chicken, onions, and king oyster mushrooms (?). The portion was huge. I ordered regular, but a large would have been a real challenge. Most of the dishes were unfamiliar, but it was nice that the menu had easy-to-understand explanations in Japanese.

Exploring Asagaya Asagaya is featured in various magazines as a place with lots of delicious restaurants. But I had never been to Asagaya, so I went exploring for new finds. Visited a Thai restaurant. ピッキーヌ That is where we went. They offer everything from standard Thai dishes to ones you will not find elsewhere. The lunch set in particular feels like great value because you can choose several options. Still, you cannot judge the deliciousness without trying the standard Thai dishes, so... Me: ガパオライス Wife: lunch set (ヘンムーサップ, カオムーヤン) Those were our choices. The ガパオライス was pleasantly spicy and delicious😋 I can see why it is recommended. The lunch set included ・カオムーヤン Thai-style pork rice bowl. The sweet and spicy sauce soaks into the Thai rice, making it exceptionally delicious😋 ・ヘンムーサップ Thai ramen without broth🍜 Think of mixed noodles without soup. I wonder if this is an original ピッキーヌ menu item. All the other customers were ordering lunch sets. #阿佐ヶ谷 #阿佐ヶ谷グルメ #タイ料理 #タイ料理が美味しいお店 #ピッキーヌ #リピート

This is a renowned Thai restaurant that represents Asagaya. Lunch is particularly good value because you can have 2 authentic Thai dishes at relatively low prices. The カウソイ, which is also available as a lunch option, is especially good. The fried wontons are crisp and pair well with the refreshingly spicy sauce. They are so generous that the dinner menu is half price for takeout, so if you are nearby, picking something up to bring home would be a good idea. With such an enormous menu, though, you are bound to struggle to choose. They also have many kinds of curry, so curry lovers should give it a try.
