Nogthing much changed from the world war time.

Visited at midday on March 1, 2026 A shopping street in Setagaya Ward, north of Daitabashi Station on the Keio Line and north of Koshu Kaido That day I walked here from Daitabashi Station It's been about 20 years since my last visit? Though small, it has a cluster of Okinawan izakaya and such, giving it the feel of a little Okinawa Mensore Daito Ichiba in particular had a look reminiscent of an Okinawan market One corner of the shopping street has become a vacant lot, and it seems the Okinawan shop there is gone Nearby there's the coffee shop Raimuraito, and it was great to stop there during my stroll and take a break over coffee, sa~

Okinawa Town Suginami Izumi Meitengai I went after a long time and was surprised it had become Okinawa Town‼️ I was born near here 64 years ago and went to a nursery school on the east side of Kan-nana. Back then it was called Daito Market and was bustling with lots of people. I used to play by chasing after the chindon-ya street performers with my neighborhood friends. Until my student days (about 45 years ago) the market was still going, but after that the shops gradually started closing. And now it's Okinawa Town. It was daytime so there were only a few people around, but next time I'd like to try going at night.
