Fantastic Food!!!

Made it through the weekend and went drinking with a colleague. We came to an okonomiyaki place a little way from Ogikubo Station. Otsukaresama set, 1,300 yen. Ordered separately: draft beer 650 yen, butatama 900 yen, yamitsuki cabbage 450 yen. A saving of 700 yen‼️The portions are the same as individual orders too. Next came sasami and asatsuki dressed with yuzu kosho, and sake. Finished with tororo tonpeiyaki. We could relax in a place full of Showa atmosphere.

One day in December, Reiwa 6, I returned because my previous visit had been so delicious. Huh, the shop sign had clearly changed. It wasn't open, but perhaps it's a ramen shop now. Such a shame. You could enjoy authentic okonomiyaki at a reasonable price in Tokyo. My rating reflects my last visit: the snacks, negiyaki, and okonomiyaki were very delicious. Thank you.

It was my first visit. Every dish was freshly prepared on the spot and piping hot, which was impressive. Especially the yudofu—the lovely scent from yuzu peel in the ponzu and pot was irresistible, leaving me warm and happy, with both my stomach and heart satisfied.

Visited around 19 on a holiday, and there were no other customers. There seem to be about 8 counter seats and 4 tatami tables. Perhaps because it's a little far from the station, it doesn't seem likely to get crowded. When I asked, I learned it's an established place that's been open about 20 years. The Otsukaresama set of beer (substitutions available if you don't like beer) + cabbage snack + half an okonomiyaki or 5 gyoza is really good. Even half an okonomiyaki is quite filling. Half portions can also be ordered individually, so that might be recommended for women. I also ordered the recommended renkon cheese and gobo karaage, both delicious✨ A good place to fill up at a reasonable price.
