① Restaurant Highlights An izakaya where the fish is simply delicious. They source high-quality fish directly from the fish market. Reservations are a must as it gets crowded. ② Food Review ② Assorted Sashimi Platter I appreciate that they serve individual portions for each person. All the fish is fresh, but the horse mackerel, mackerel, and firefly squid are especially exquisite. ◎ Salt-Grilled Tiger Pufferfish Milt The rich umami of the milt is concentrated by the grilling, making it delicious. The cooking technique is perfect, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth texture. ◎ Salt-Grilled Kinmedai (Red Seabream) The flaky flesh is sweet and delicious. ◎ Simmered Nodoguro (Blackthroat Seaperch) We ordered the half-size portion. With no bones, you can enjoy the rich, fatty nodoguro without any hassle. ◎ Karasumi Soba Karasumi (dried mullet roe) is drizzled over the soba, blending the umami of the noodles with the seafood. It’s the perfect way to end the meal.
View on GoogleGreat atmosphere, the sashimi was good, food that you’re given for the seating charge was great.. ham katsu was kinda average despite the hype. Drinks looked cool but some tasted awful (yuzu shio tasted like seawater with no yuzu or alcohol) and the service was quite slow.
View on GoogleFresh seafood served here. Otoshi is pretty worth it too. But I didn’t think the dishes were creative or anything special.
View on GoogleOne alcohol and one appetite per person is mandatory to pay, which is nearly acceptable. However, if you didn’t order enough food you will be kicked out and the owner will walk you out with a long hard stare. The most terrible customer service I’ve experienced in Japan so far.
View on Google3 minutes on foot from Koenji Station's south exit, a place to enjoy fresh fish and shellfish sourced daily from Toyosu. Alongside carefully selected sake, there's a range of dishes that truly bring out the quality of the ingredients! The interior is a calm, traditional Japanese space featuring aged wood, with sunken kotatsu seating that makes it easy to relax. Its appeal is being able to enjoy a quiet, relaxed drink without any formality. Everything we had was very fresh, with gentle flavors that made the most of seasonal ingredients! Precisely because the cooking is simple, you can really taste the fish's natural umami The sake selection is extensive too, and it's lovely to enjoy how it pairs with the food! It's easy to use for dates, drinks with friends, or small gatherings.
