Terrible service. Ordered from the window for take out. The guy who served me was nice but didn’t know how to take the order. Several people were already waiting. Orders came out very slowly and I waited for nearly 30 mins for my simple order to come, after they produced my food and then took it away again, called the wrong numbers and made several other mistakes. The guy who came after me got served before me, so I was just standing on the busy sidewalk for a very long time. When I opened the window to complain, they just said sorry but there was no explanation. Something weird is going on with the staff in there. The staff were confused, inefficient and didn’t explain the issue. The staff in the kitchen seemed to be cooking extremely slowly. In general, the staff seemed tired and didn’t care about their jobs. Will not go back even though I walk past it every day.

We grabbed a bite before going to a live show. There was a karaage place, so we tried it. My companion ordered oyakodon, and I ordered karaage. It was a set meal with 2 types of karaage. As karaage goes, it was about what you'd expect. I ate it with draft beer, which made it taste better. Alcohol matters too.

A cheap and tasty karaage set meal. What I'd really like you to try is the oyakodon! Both are delicious. When I returned after a long time, cabbage refills were no longer available, and the delicious dipping sauce that goes well with karaage, previously always on the tables, was now served individually with each karaage set. The wave of inflation had arrived. Still, since I can enjoy tasty chicken, I'd like to come again. Unfortunately, the staff quality is low, so you'll have to overlook that (lol)

After entering, I looked at the Google reviews and was surprised. 2.2 stars. I'd never been somewhere rated this low, so it actually made me curious. The menu said this was a place with delicious oyakodon, so I ordered the premium oyakodon for 1000円. Hmm, it didn't look like 2 stars. The taste was.... ordinary? Fairly good. The ingredients are probably good. And what surprised me most was how shallow the bowl was. Amazing, such a raised bottom. This for 1000円? It probably wouldn't be enough for a man. The staff really weren't very good, as other reviews say. They answered other customers' questions with very little enthusiasm, creating a gloomy atmosphere. They're probably not bad people, though. Looking it up, I found a media release announcing this as a new Yoshinoya chain concept. The pizza place previously here was also the first location of a new concept and had TV crews visiting. Is Shin-Koenji used for experiments? The pizza was actually quite good, though. Lunch options in Shin-Koenji are polarized: there are quite high-quality places for 700円 or less, and the karaage at Queen's Isetan, a 2-minute walk away, is good. There's a karaage specialty shop on the first floor too. Takeaway demand will probably be hard to capture as well. I'll look forward to the next concept. So 2 stars was fair.

Visited at lunchtime. I ordered a large serving of cabbage. It admittedly doesn't say shredded, but cabbage cut 2〜3cm wide... The furikake was damp too and wouldn't come out. It's not particularly cheap, just normally priced, so couldn't they do a little better? All the empty seats probably reflect what customers in the area think.
