JAN 2026 Came here around tea time and it was almost full but I was lucky to get a seat at the small table near the entrance without waiting. I had the mocha bean hot coffee which took about five minutes to arrive after ordering. The coffee was pretty good with a pleasant aroma; mildly strong with a subtle sweet note. Inside has a nice retro atmosphere, felt like I was at an antique shop, but where I sat was not the most comfortable as there was not much space between the table and chair, and the chair felt fragile. The staff who took my order and payment was friendly.
View on GoogleIt is a grandfather’s clocks museum! We took an excursion to Nishi Ogikubo and found this very interesting coffee joint. It was full when we arrived in 2ish in a weekday. With great disappointment, we checked out the bookstore nextdoor. After around 10 minutes, 2 customers left and we got a table. Many customers kept coming in and were turned away after we sat down, lucky us. The vibe is uniquely classic. Pictures tell more than words. Though there were so many clocks packed together, I noticed that only one was ticking. The owner pays attention to details as one can imagine how it would be like if 50 clocks are ticking at the same time. It is a great place to have a cozy chat, read a book, or simply meditate. The owners and staffs (probably family members) are friendly and the coffee is good. It is probably a “could not miss” spot in this small town.

View on GoogleKind of twisty second visit because I wondered why Google Maps doesn't show it when I looked for coffee. Bumping it up to a high four stars. Also added a picture of the menu, and the original review is next: Old fashioned slightly clubby atmosphere. Owner collects old lamps and clocks and various other antiques. Several aquariums, too, and there's a nice fish in front of me here, sitting on one side of the hearth from an old Japanese farmhouse. The seats are arranged in three groups, with about seven to 10 seats in each group. And very old seats they are, so you should watch out for one as uncomfortable as the first one I tried. Broad menu on the expensive side, but I'm sure people come to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Doesn't seem to have Wi-Fi or charging. I enjoyed the ice coffee but can only call it an average four stars overall.
