A very nice warm, inviting, friendly atmosphere mom-and-pop izakaya with great food and drinks... Highly recommended!

View on Google■Name 松味 ■Location Honancho Station, Eifukucho Station ■Budget 2000〜2999円 ■Items ordered ・Edamame ・Omelet ・Chicken karaage ・Salt-seasoned stir-fried pork ・Yaki udon ・Pickled vegetables ----- After basketball one day. A teammate lives in Honancho, near here, and invited us to visit. Access isn't exactly convenient, at a 15~20-minute walk from the station, but I was excited because it was my first time in this area. An izakaya standing on its own in a residential neighborhood. The proprietress is a great communicator, with a wonderful ability to instantly turn people into fans. Our orders were as listed above. ▼Edamame ▼Omelet ▼Chicken karaage ▼Salt-seasoned stir-fried pork ▼Yaki udon ▼Pickled vegetables We ordered 2 servings of everything, and even then the portions were enormous. Looking at the menu, the value was absurdly good; prices like these are really rare in the Reiwa era. A regular told us the “chicken karaage” was incredibly delicious. Indeed, the seasoning was strong, giving it that classic karaage quality that keeps the drinks flowing, which was great. Every dish had a home-cooked flavor, reminding me of going back to my parents' house in the countryside. In that sense, it's also a place to indulge in nostalgia. That's all. There were 6 of us drinking, and it came to less than 3000円 per person—amazing value. I was surprised it was cheaper than an all-you-can-drink package at an izakaya chain. It's an area I don't often get to, and it's basically filled with regulars every day, so I may not be able to visit often, but do stop by if you're nearby. Thank you for the meal. I'll be back. ※Please like and save!
View on GoogleAs other reviews mentioned, the couple's service is lovely, so it's easy to see why there are so many regulars. A bottle of Iichiko shochu, 4 orders of mixers, and 5-6 dishes came to just over 10,000. The food is pretty good too. A nice place for a leisurely drink.
