Tonkotsu ramen restaurant, close to Minami Asagaya. English menu available. Cash only. ○ Tonkotsu Ramen Standard tonkotsu ramen with kikurage, chashu pork, and green onion. The soup is surprisingly light. The noodles are thin and straight. ◎Gyoza The dumplings were wrapped after receiving the order, which heightened the anticipation. One bite and you will notice that the texture of the gyoza is different from that of regular gyoza. It is interesting to note that pickled vegetables like squeezed greens are in the bean paste and accentuate the taste.

View on GoogleOrdered the curry set. The noodles are thin but still satisfying to eat. The soup has a powerful pork-bone flavor yet is surprisingly mellow and light, making you want more noodle refills. The meat in the curry (roast pork, perhaps?) was tastier than expected, and the set was satisfying. Definitely a place I want to visit when I am starving.
View on GoogleMy first visit while out for lunch. Ordered the chashu rice bowl lunch set. I prefer distinctive, strong flavors, but this was light yet delicious. I wanted to finish the soup, but left some for my health^_^ The chashu rice bowl was good too, and next time I would like to try a different ramen.
View on GoogleThis is a gentle, carefully prepared, light tonkotsu ramen. On the positive side, women may find it easy to eat. If you come expecting Nagahama-style ramen that is pungent, cloudy, rich, with thin noodles that make you want refill after refill, you might be disappointed? You cannot enjoy adding as much pickled red ginger or spicy takana as you like. If you eat it without picturing Nagahama-style or any particular style of tonkotsu, perhaps this really is pure, standard tonkotsu ramen..
