La Morille. A very cozy and affordable Japanese-French diner that serves excellently cooked simple dishes. Both nostalgic (reminds me of 70s era bistros) and exotic (in true japanese style, the salad dressing is soya sauce based as is the steak sauce and instead of a bread basket, one gets a small plate of rice). End the meal with black coffee sweetened with honey (bizarre but oddly nice and soothing). Lotsa fun. Will be back.

I had the signature recommended lunch (steak lunch) with curry-flavored soup at the Western-style restaurant ラ・モリーユ in Asagaya! The steak sauce is delicious! A friend and I wanted hamburg steak or steak, so we searched nearby and found this place. We had lunch sets at the Western-style restaurant ラ・モリーユ٩(>ω<*)و My thoughts, review, and comments on having the steak lunch at ラ・モリーユ ------------------------- ・About a 10-minute walk from Asagaya Station! ・A place to enjoy authentic Western-style cooking ・Even at lunchtime, there are seats available☆ ・The steak is tasty, but the portion is small ・The owner loves talking and doesn't stop ------------------------- It's a little way from Asagaya Station, but we decided we might as well try somewhere new, so we walked about 10 minutes from the station! The outside gives the impression of good food♪ There was a sign for the recommended lunch out front! I'm easily swayed by recommendations, so I decided on the steak lunch☆ We arrived just before 12, but there was only 1 other group inside, and the place was fairly spacious! There were things on the tables, perhaps because they were being cleared, and maybe the owner was running everything alone? After flipping through the menu, I chose the steak lunch (1,600円) shown at the entrance. My friend chose the hamburg steak with chasseur sauce (1,300円)♡ Judging by the menu and interior, it looked like a place for authentic Western-style cooking☆ After about 10 minutes, the soup (curry-flavored) arrived first, so I drank it down（/◎＼）gulp gulp. It tasted a little light to me, but wasn't bad. After a little more waiting, the steak and hamburg steak arrived! The steak looked surprisingly thin, but delicious! I cut it with my knife and tucked in( "´༥`" ) The meat had a little sinew, but the fat had good flavor, and it was tender and tasty! The sauce was delicious and went really well with rice. The sirloin steak seemed rather thin? About 100g? My friend said the hamburg steak with chasseur sauce was delicious, and the chasseur sauce had a taste they'd never experienced before and was good too☆ Maybe I should have asked for 1 bite! Personally, I felt the portion was a little small, but considering the steak lunch price, it wasn't particularly expensive, just about average. I'd walked past several times, so the old-fashioned atmosphere caught my interest and I stopped in. The friendly owner was handling everything alone. The hamburg lunch I ordered tasted healthy (without being overly seasoned) and was delicious. I had my coffee with plenty of honey✨ I'd like to try the other menu items too.

The food itself was delicious, but I was surprised at how inexpensive it was for the quality. I ordered hamburg steak for lunch, and rather than having meat that was completely mashed up, it had a distinct texture. The side dishes had satisfying flavors too. However, the owner seemed to be working alone, so you might have to wait a little if it gets busy. It's a good place to take your time and enjoy a meal. I'd like to visit again! + I visited again about 1 year later. I ordered the hamburg steak with Italian sauce. It costs 150 yen more, but comes with a creamier sauce and cured ham. It was still delicious!

I ordered the hamburg set (¥980) for dinner. It comes with soup and rice. The coarsely ground hamburg steak is fluffy, tender, and very delicious. It pairs perfectly with the mellow demi-glace sauce. The calm interior and the owner's kind, considerate manner made it a comfortable place to be. I'd like to come again.
