Established in 1999. A kushikatsu specialty restaurant a 3-minute walk from Minami-Asagaya Station. We serve freshly fried kushikatsu, carefully frying each skewer after you order. The light coating brings out the ingredients' flavors. Alongside classic skewers, seasonal options such as ginkgo nuts, corn, hamo, pork-wrapped Yanaka ginger, and oysters are also popular. We also offer individual dishes that pair well with draft beer, sake, shochu, and highballs. With a warm atmosphere, it's easy to visit alone, with family, or in a group. An English menu is available, allowing overseas guests to enjoy their meal comfortably. We accept major credit cards and various cashless payment methods. Engli…

For dinner. This was usually my go-to place for kushikatsu in Asagaya, but it was my first visit since the renovation. There used to be a tatami area at the back with toys, which was great for enjoying a relaxed drink with children, but the tatami seating was gone after the renovation. Instead, there are semi-private-style tables, and we sat at one this time. It goes without saying that the kushikatsu is delicious, but I also like that they offer about 4 sauces so you can enjoy different flavors. My personal favorite is the jalapeño sauce. Its spicy kick goes perfectly with the kushikatsu. There's also a wide selection of drinking snacks, and none disappoint. I'd like to start coming regularly again.

This izakaya is about a 3-minute walk from the nearest station, Minami-Asagaya, or about 8 minutes from Asagaya Station, just past where Pearl Center and Suzuran-dori split. Before COVID, being able to drink from lunchtime was a selling point, but that's no longer possible, so things must be difficult. Even so, they're working hard. It's nice to have about 8 lunch options. Today I tried the homemade sizzling-plate mabo lunch. Rice came in large, medium, or small, so I chose large. The mabo was bubbling away on the iron plate when it arrived. Fairly large pieces of tofu were topped with mabo made with coarsely ground meat, piping hot and looking good. It tasted quite good too. The meat's savory flavor came through, and the chili oil had just the right heat, making the rice go down easily. Still, I think I'd prefer the tofu simmered in the sauce. This is a mabo lunch, not mapo tofu. A mill is provided so you can add Sichuan pepper, and I think adding plenty is a good idea. The potato salad on the side was tasty too. They also seem to offer various takeout options, including rice bowls, fried foods, and prepared side dishes. Convenient when you just want one extra dish.

The kushikatsu is amazingly good! Besides the tin of sauce, the table has 3 kinds of paste with miso or seasonings, plus containers of yuzu salt and lemon juice (?), so you can vary the flavors. Delicious. Even before that, there's a wide variety of kushikatsu. The beef and pork skewers are especially good. The vegetables, shrimp, and camembert too. Beer, Hoppy, and more than 10 skewers (plenty of food!) came to about 4 thousand yen. The staff were kind too, and I was completely satisfied. I'd like to return.
