We really really loved this sushi place. We had Omakase for just 2200 yen per person with amazing sushi, we loved every single piece! The owner put so much effort into each Sashimi and also talked with us a little bit. He was incredibly friendly and we felt so welcome. So far my favorite restaurant in Tokyo! You have to visit.

Unforgettable sushi experience, An incredible sushi spot with only about 10 seats, where the sushi master prepares everything right in front of you. We ordered both the premium and the basic sets for two, plus beer - and it was absolutely dreamy. Every cut was made with precision, and the chef was warm and friendly, even chatting with us about his past as a gamer. The place is on a fairly large alley but the entrance is tricky to find - it looks closed from the outside. Once inside, the vibe is traditional yet relaxed. This was probably our best sushi experience in Japan. Amazing value for the price.

This restaurant stole our hearts. You know when you eat a meal that not only fills your stomach but your heart? You’ll walk out of here physically heavier but emotionally lighter. Like the world is actually good and we all mean something to each other. Because that’s what the chef and his mother mean to each other, to us, to Koenji. In a world full of Burger Kings and chipotle’s, we have to keep businesses like this alive. From the tiny old television playing local news, to the chef’s mother’s delicate smile… every detail, every bite, tells a story. After all, isn’t that what good food does? Good food tells a story. Run to Kiku and appreciate it while it’s still there, a gem like this doesn’t come easy and the love put into this place is so . So. Special. Ask him to serve you up what’s in the photo. I am frothing at the mouth just thinking of this nigiri.

The best sushi I’ve ever had, made and served by the chef right in front of you, who then hands you your plate or even puts the sushi directly on it. Warm and welcoming intimate setting. Ideal for couples or going solo.
