A calm yakitori restaurant for adults, with perfectly grilled, delicious food. Every yakitori skewer here was cooked just right and tasted delicious. They matched exactly how I wanted them grilled. One bite brought out the meat’s natural savoriness and sweetness, with the fat rendered off but the meat still juicy. I wonder if he trained at another restaurant?? It’s run by a husband and wife, and the wife was elegant and lovely. A regular brought me here, and as usual we left the selection up to them. The owner has a good eye for sake too, including labels you don’t often see elsewhere. First, the appetizers. The grilled avocado snack had soft, crumbly flesh. Lotus root Chicken soup Komatsuna 九条ネギ and whitebait salad 白レバー The fresh liver had no unpleasant smell, and its rich flavor and lightly crisp grilled surface made it addictive. ささみ Wasabi was the perfect accent to its light flavor. The beer glasses are carefully chosen ceramics, producing fine foam so the beer stays delicious to the last sip. The sake was 帝松・羽根屋吟醸プリズム・大嶺・天明. All had a clean finish and were easy to drink. Finding a sake you like is another part of the fun. I’d like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

About a 5-minute walk straight ahead from the north exit of JR阿佐ヶ谷, I found this tucked away on the left! Every yakitori skewer is outstanding! The atmosphere is lovely too, and you can relax and enjoy your drinks in peace. Fantastic! Update R6.7.10: Every visit leaves me amazed by how delicious it is. Apparently it was recently on TV, and it’s full, so I recommend booking ahead!

I visited with my older sister and her husband for the restaurant’s anniversary. The carefully prepared yakitori is simply delicious. The wide selection of drinks makes it easy to drink a little too much. There are plenty of finishing dishes too, such as 卵かけご飯 and 鶏そば. I’ve visited many times, but I’ll come again.

A yakitori restaurant a short walk north of 阿佐ヶ谷駅. It’s run by a young couple, and most customers are regulars, but it feels welcoming. After ordering a drink, the first thing to order is 白レバー. They offer it in 3 styles. Sesame sauce, tare, and wasabi. Choose according to your preference. The つくね is also cooked wonderfully and comes in 3 styles: tare, tsukimi, and tartar. The other cuts are generally grilled superbly too, and it feels a cut above other yakitori places along the 中央線. If it were in my neighborhood, I’d want to go every week. Enjoy sake and shochu with yakitori, then finish with their signature 卵かけご飯, which I recommend.

This is the place when you want delicious yakitori and sake. It’s a wonderful izakaya run by a friendly owner and his wife. If you’re along the 中央線, you’ve got to go.
