A cute little place in a mostly residential area. The staff are very friendly. They offer wine and beer from Southeast Asia. Smoking is ok anywhere but you have to ask for an ashtray. They don't have kao man gai, which for me is a must in Thai restaurants. They have a take out menu, and you can call in advance and pick up your food when it's done. Credit card transactions are only available for bills 3000 Yen and above.

The overall quality has declined compared with when it used to be called Tom Yum Kung. The green curry and beef tendon noodle broth have lost flavor. Portions have also shrunk considerably. The green curry's base broth tastes good, but the only ingredients are a little chicken and eggplant, so it's not particularly good value for the price. I find myself thinking that bamboo shoots, bell peppers, or green peppers would improve the flavor and texture. I recommend the massaman curry for both flavor and quantity, but sometimes the curry is lukewarm and the bone-in chicken thigh is cold in the middle. I think it would taste better if heated longer. The khao man gai has tough, dry chicken, and the khao is plain white rice that hasn't been cooked in the chicken's boiling broth, which is out of the question. It's served with microwave-thawed meat every time, so the taste is disappointing.

That day I had the lunch spicy fried noodles topped with a fried egg. Quite spicy! And some mysterious herb had a strong, refreshing aroma. This is delicious! Was this place always so bold in flavor? On this visit, all the building's tenants and residents had moved out, so it should be rebuilt before long. Most of the area behind it has also been demolished. It'll probably become a larger building. This shop will likely close or relocate too. So I'm putting this information up quickly. Below is from a past visit. Lunch pad thai set: the original seasoning is so noticeably sweet that it makes you pause, but drizzle on about 4 spoonfuls of chili vinegar and it becomes a sharp balance of sweet, spicy, and sour! That brings the sweet, intense base flavor to life. Dig in, resetting your palate with the generously filled soup.
