じゃぐらJagura
Compact, counter-serve venue known for tsukemen dipping noodles & ramen in a rich pork bone broth.
In Shin-Koenji, we run our restaurant hoping to fill the stomachs of local residents and create a place that warms both body and heart. When we first opened, we served rich tonkotsu ramen; now we serve rich tonkotsu miso ramen. Jagura's ramen combines a sauce made from 4 carefully selected miso varieties blended with 15 ingredients and a rich tonkotsu broth simmered with plenty of pork knuckle bones! We use medium-thick noodles with a chewy texture and firm bite. They hold the broth well. Other menu items include refreshing backfat ginger miso ramen, collaboration ramen with YouTuber Susuru-kun, curry, and seasonal noodles, for young and old…

It ended up being one of my favorite ramen experiences so far. The place itself has that local, no-frills charm. Compared to other ramen I’ve had (mostly standard miso bowls) this place just hits different. The broths are thicker, more flavorful, and feel more crafted. Made me realize how much variety there is even within ramen as a category. Tried the tonkotsu miso ramen and their M3 ramen with milk, which is also somewhat spicy but just enough😏
View on GoogleThe ramen was really delicious and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and kind. I had a great experience and would definitely come back again.
View on GoogleFire miso was very good. Noodles were great match for the bowl, Spice level is perfect for someone who likes spicy but doesn’t want to get their day ruined, finish with rice and add some soboro from the soup and curry spice for a great meal. Staff had good music playing during our visit too. Would highly recommend to anyone out shopping near the shotengai area of koenji. They just celebrated their 11th anniversary, it’s a staple ramen shop. Note: Ticket machine has numbers on buttons corresponding to images making it easy to decipher the options if you can’t read Japanese characters.
View on GoogleVisited Jagura ramen after seven years, they are still going strong with their flavorful ramen, especially the legit spicy “fire ramen”. They also have various ways to finish the soup, including making it a curry, adding rice, or adding flavorful with these oils. I made an English translation for them when I was a student.
View on GoogleRamen shop located in the "Koenji Look Shopping Arcade. The menu is mainly miso ramen. I visited the restaurant after 9:00 p.m., but it was empty at that time. I ordered ginger miso ramen. The rich miso broth and thick noodles are delicious, but the taste is enhanced when the ginger and butter toppings are melted into the soup. Rice is also included free of charge, which is also delicious when eaten with the soup. If U want to try miso ramen, try it.
