2026.02.13 13:30 チャーシューメン ¥1050, recommended for those who prefer lighter flavors. 6 counter seats in total. 1 person was eating when I entered. After I came in, 3 more people arrived one after another, making it almost full. Is this a popular place? Aside from the radio, the shop was quiet, and the owner was taciturn too. His gaze made the atmosphere feel a little intimidating. The ramen is simple but shows a strong attention to detail. The チャーシュー has little fat, which suits my taste. The particularly noteworthy point is the well-balanced result. Next time I’d like to try the seasoned egg too.
View on GoogleVisited at 13:30 on Saturday, 2026.3.14. I got in without queuing. After reading reviews saying the つけ麺 was good too, I tried it for the first time. I ordered medium チャーシューつけめん for 1150 yen, with メンマ for 80 yen and のり for 110 yen as toppings. It had been a while, so I went overboard. The verdict: delicious lol. The noodles seemed on the firm side. They can’t be served hot. There are plenty of chunky cubes of チャーシュー. Well, it is チャーシューつけ麺, so of course there’s lots of チャーシュー💦 The meat has a substantial texture and flavorful fat, just how I like it. As someone else wrote in a review, the flavor resembles 丸長 in 荻窪, whose closure was widely regretted. As a huge fan of 丸長, I find the flavor satisfying, and this is one of my favorite places. It’s an unforgettable taste. Before arriving, I wondered whether I’d want to change up the flavor halfway through~~, but that worry proved unfounded. I enjoyed it to the end without getting bored. They make it a little more expensive, but I recommend the メンマ and のり too. Personally, the つけ麺 is good, but since hot noodles aren’t available, I think I prefer the ramen, where I can enjoy the soup’s aroma more. Next time I might have ramen with メンマ and のり toppings!
View on GoogleSaturday, 12:50. The restaurant was full, so I joined the 1 person waiting outside. Customers kept arriving, and even when I left at 13:10, 4 people were waiting outside. It’s 1 kilometer from 阿佐ヶ谷駅, about a 15- or 16-minute walk, so it isn’t exactly a location you can casually pop into. That’s precisely why a day like today—a day-off lunch with cloudless skies and no severe cold—was perfect for a walk around 杉並区, and I really enjoyed heading to the shop. It’s on 早稲田通り in a residential area, with a police box and fire station across the road. Somehow I suspect the people working there are big customers here. I ordered らーめん (750 yen). Noodle portions are: らーめん regular 150g, medium 200g, large 250g つけ麺 regular 250g, medium 300g, large 350g Since this was my second stop on a consecutive eating outing that day, I bought the regular size. The interior is very compact: 4 seats at the counter facing the kitchen and 2 facing the wall, for 6 total. The ramen arrived after about 5 minutes, and I couldn’t help letting out a sound. …Ooh~, this is THE classic 東京 soy sauce ramen. The classic of classics! What a nostalgic, simple appearance. And as expected, the flavor was classic soy sauce ramen too. I love an unpretentious bowl like this, simple on the outside but substantial underneath. It sounds funny, but you know those people who seem plain yet turn out to be incredibly nice, or amazingly experienced and impressive? That’s how this felt. Is the chicken slightly more prominent? Or is that the oil’s flavor? This clear soup without chemical seasonings gently combines animal-based stock and soy sauce tare, and when you savor it slowly, the finish tastes sweet. Classic and simple, yet wonderfully rounded and deep. It’s an accommodating flavor everyone could find delicious, and perhaps that very quality makes it addictive? The noodles make a strong impression. Medium-thin, straight noodles, with a remarkable bite in your mouth after slurping. They aren’t particularly firm or thick, but they have a lot of chew. The owner’s care and thoughts must be packed into these homemade noodles; you can tell the difference from one bite. The チャーシュー is also the classic, decidedly meaty kind and doesn’t disappoint. The only thing I personally wanted more of was scallions. This soup makes scallions taste exceptionally good, so it was a shame there were only a few. If I get another chance, perhaps I’ll add a scallion topping? Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleNoodles after my daughter went off to 東京❷/6 How many bowls will I get to eat from now on? 東京 ramen! The second bowl is along 早稲田通り in 阿佐ヶ谷北. Location Not near the station! No restaurant parking either, so it’s rather inconvenient! But there is paid parking nearby. Menu Only らーめん and つけ麺! Simple. Choice 味玉らーめん! I wanted a leafy-greens topping, but it was sold out! Soup A little oily! But a gentle-on-the-body soy sauce flavor! Guilt-free soup! Soup you could have first thing in the morning! Noodles Medium-thick and straight! Glossy! A little different from 春木屋. Toppings Simple! The チャーシュー is slightly firm but flavorful! Crunchy メンマ! Not many scallions! Price Fairly wallet-friendly! Is this? Can I call it 荻窪 ramen? ・ #中華そば #東京ラーメン #荻窪ラーメン #味付玉子 #顔味玉 #らーめんいろはや(#東京都杉並区阿佐ヶ谷北) #東京都のラーメン
View on GoogleThe strip-cut チャーシュー is delicious! Light, animal-stock-based つけ麺. ~チャーシューつけめん, 味玉~ First visit! I stopped by while cycling. It was just after 12 on Sunday, and I got in without waiting. Dip the smooth, medium-thick straight noodles into a slightly sweet, oily soy sauce soup based mainly on pork and chicken. It’s a light style, but the flavor has dimension and the overall balance is exquisite! I couldn’t stop slurping. The chunky strips of チャーシュー are outstanding too! They color my heart brown. The rice bowls looked tasty as well, so I’d like to return! Thank you for the meal! If you’re curious, give it a try!
