This is a charming little cha-soba shop. And I reckon the score on Google maps is a little low. Perhaps not everyone wants cha-soba, although there are udon options. The tempura are so hot they make the soba soup simmer! Long menu. So will be back.

【Sake+野菜天ぷら蕎麦/600+1,500円】at2024/10 I visited for dinner. I ordered warm sake with a set of vegetable tempura and かけそば. Thank you for the meal. As expected, the flavor was quite strong. Rating=3.4 【きつねそば/1,000円】at 2024/9 This long-established 茶そば shop is in a section of the shopping street in front of 浜田山駅. Apparently the various 茶そば dishes can also be served with udon, and they have tempura set meals and other options. The interior is small, with around 5〜6 tables. Since this was my first visit, I went with a simple きつね. They seem to boil the soba after receiving the order, so it arrived after a bit of a wait. The bowl was warmed too, and the freshly boiled 茶そば was very delicious. The fried tofu was sweet and piping hot, and paired well with the 茶そば. There was plenty of long green onion too, which also went well with the soba. With fewer places using tasty green onions these days, that made me very happy. The soba broth was strong and quite sweet and salty, perhaps because of the cooking liquid seeping out of the fried tofu, but I drank almost all of it. Thank you for the meal. Rating=3.8

After cherry blossom viewing, daytime drinks at 茶そばいな垣 in 浜田山. I ordered 天せいろ for 1,500円 and 賀茂鶴 sake from 広島県 for 800円. The tempura was freshly fried and piping hot. The large shrimp tempura was a nice treat. The 茶そば had a lovely flavor and went down nicely too. It also pairs well with dry sake. Even that 久住さん… The employees' service is good too.

A lot of soba shops top their dishes with tempura that's already been fried. But this shop serves freshly fried tempura. It's incredibly tasty. I had 天ぷら蕎麦(1800円). There were 2 shrimp tempura. These shrimp tempura were incredibly good. Piping hot. The 野菜天せいろ(1500円)was good too. The soba is a little soft and chewy. I prefer soba with more firmness. The tempura is delicious!
