The appeal is having a proper Japanese chef and well-prepared food. The fish is good both as sashimi and grilled! I also recommend ume mushi (chawanmushi with umeboshi) and grilled unagi liver. The people serving are truly kind and warm, and the counter is comfortable, so you can come for drinks alone or have a lively time with family and friends. Anyway, it's a restaurant 八幡山 can be proud of. P.S.: Today I drank at the counter, but ended up alongside a tactless customer, which was unpleasant. While I was eating unagi, they went so far as to say loudly, 「Unagi smells」. A shame 😢 These things happen too.

I used to live nearby, so I came often. Since it's family-run, it has a warm atmosphere like coming home to your family. All the dishes are outstanding, including the sashimi, but the one I always ordered was 「カニクリーム揚げ」. It's filled with plenty of shredded crabmeat that pairs wonderfully with the cream, and the crispy fried coating also matches the sauce perfectly. It was so delicious it was addictive.

A long-established fugu restaurant that serves lunch only on Wednesdays ✨ I'd wanted to go for ages, and finally got my long-awaited lunch! There's just 1 menu, and that day it was a toriten and dango jiru set! An incredible price of 1,200円 with unlimited rice! I was surprised the moment it arrived... More food than I imagined! 4 fairly large pieces of toriten, salad, side dishes, and even dango jiru! Women get dessert, which was warabi mochi ♡ The toriten was crisp and fluffy, movingly delicious!! I haven't had toriten this good in ages So fluffy I wondered if this was a toriten specialist! With shibazuke tartar, yuzu kosho・ponzu Both were delicious ✨ The dango jiru had shimeji, carrots, taro, daikon, and more, and was thoroughly satisfying! The fairly strong seasoning really hits the spot ✨ The menu changes every week, making you look forward to next time The staff were lively too, and I decided I'd definitely keep coming back! Highly recommended. I arrived 10 minutes after opening and it was 80% full—unbelievably popular. Everyone must look forward to it each week ✨

I ate at the counter The fugu sashimi was reasonably delicious. The tuna sashimi was especially good. It was thickly cut, substantial, and delicious! The crab croquettes were average too. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, perhaps because everyone was a regular? So I gave 「atmosphere」 1 star.

Everything you eat is truly delicious. If you want good Japanese food around 八幡山 Station, this is the only choice. Seafood, including fugu, is the main focus. Personally, I really love their カニクリーム揚げ and えびしんじょう, enough to come just to eat them. Lunch is only on Wednesdays, but it changes every month and every week, so I always look forward to it. The price is about 5000円 per person, even with alcohol and enough food to feel satisfied. The service is also excellent, and it's a comfortable restaurant.
