Famous shop in Nishi-Ogi. Only few countertop seats, but peaceful and super cheap. I had the moyashi soba, but it seems everyone else orders the tanmen - will try and report back next time Soup: just what you would expect with moyashi soba Noodles: thin, pairs well Toppings: plump moyashi
View on GoogleThis was a wonderful light and refreshing ramen. I ordered the tanmen and didn't add any chashu. The cabbage had a very clear but light presence. The owner seemed to be a master of his craft as he kept a small dish by the counter where he would taste a small portion of the soup to make sure it was seasoned and mixed properly before he served it to me. If your looking for that heavy junky flavor of Jiro or Iekei ramen, or that strongy funky pork presence of Tonkotsu, then this isn't for you. This is lighter than the most delicate Shio ramen I've had and that's a good thing. I can eat this ramen almost every day. Give it a try if you're curious.
View on GoogleBest tanmen in Japan, hands down. Each bowl is meticulously made to order so will take a while if you arrive late and see a line of ten or more. Expect up to an hour possibly more. Only fits six so be patient.
View on GoogleThe chef makes everything from scratch in front of you. The final product is an extremely clean bowl of noodles
