One of my favourite restaurants ever. I strongly recommend the karubi and ichibo! The price is amazing for the quality of meat; it just melts in your mouth. It is better to do a reservation as the restaurant can get quite busy, but after 9pm you could do a walk-in. They speak Japanese in the restaurant (I made a reservation in Japanese) but the owner is super nice and tried their best to speak English with my friend who couldn't speak Japanese. It's a very local place but well worth a special visit (even if you are further in the Shibuya/Shinjuku area)

I came back after a long time, but the meat was completely different, the portions were smaller, and it had become dry frozen meat. I was very disappointed. Apparently the owner has changed, which made sense when I read the reviews afterward. There were no sauces or other condiments at the table, and the seasoning already on the meat was not great either. Expensive, too. I made a reservation and was seated on the 2nd floor, but the air conditioning was broken and it was so hot that eating was out of the question. 11 years ago, I went into labor while eating yakiniku here, so this place holds memories. I had also come many times with my eldest son, who was born then, so it is truly disappointing. It drove home the importance of checking reviews when returning after a long absence, even to a familiar restaurant. I will not go again.

I visited for the first time because this place has a good reputation in Asagaya. It is close to the station, and its understated exterior makes it feel approachable. The interior was clean and relaxed, allowing us to enjoy conversation over our meal. Every dish was carefully prepared, and the quality of the ingredients came through clearly. The seasoning was gentle but satisfying, and everything paired well with alcohol. You could tell that care went into each dish, making for a very satisfying meal. The staff were pleasant and attentive without hovering, so we felt comfortable. I think it suits friends as well as small groups wanting a leisurely meal. I would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy good food in a calm setting in Asagaya. I would love to visit again.
