I've lost count of how many times I've visited. (Even though I'm the type of person who rarely repeats the same restaurant.) It's a one-of-a-kind deliciousness that you can only eat here. I always order the lassi because it's rich. It's fun because the menu changes regularly! Keishi-kun (the dog) who comes by occasionally is also cute. It's also fun to hear about their experiences in India!
View on GoogleThe legendary popular shop from Kokubunji, Habakar., has made a long-awaited comeback in Nishieifuku!✨️✨️ I went there for lunch on a holiday with a friend. The manager, Yuta-san, remembered me and welcomed me with an "Oh!">< Much appreciated. That nostalgic (in a good way) chaotic interior is wonderful. The menu is much more diverse than it used to be, ranging from nostalgic items to things I've never seen before. Among them, I ordered the one I used to love: ◆ Seasonal Vegetable Tom Yum Curry, spice level 4 My companion ordered: ◆ Autumn Eggplant Mala Curry (extra sansho), spice level 3.5 Also, fresh spring rolls with chicken breast and cheese. The fresh spring rolls that came out first were delicious with potherb mustard, two types of cheese, and moist chicken breast! The sauce wasn't the usual sweet chili sauce but an original one, which was great~ And the curry that was served... Wow! It came with two types of rice topped with multiple achars and beans, making it luxurious just from the rice. The vegetable curry is packed with chunky vegetables like potatoes, spinach, pumpkin, eggplant, zucchini, onions, and lotus root. The Tom Yum broth is more acidic than it used to be, making it more authentic? It's addictive~ The autumn eggplant Mala curry my companion ordered had a great kick from the sansho and was exquisite! I had just eaten Mala curry this week at a curry shop taught by Habakar in Kokubunji, so the difference was very noticeable. This is incredibly delicious. The fluffy egg was so thick it was about to overflow from the bowl, and it was super fluffy. Mixing with the minced chicken made the spiciness milder. It was a truly moving deliciousness. Having moved from Kokubunji to Koriyama, Fussa, Kichijoji, and many other places, they must have powered up more and more. For those who know the Kokubunji era, this is worth a meal. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleAn authentic Asian curry shop that was born in Nishieifuku, a place crowded with unique curry shops. I visited for the first time after it opened and was shocked by how delicious it was. Both the basmati rice and the curry are truly delicious. No, it's too delicious!!! It's a one-of-a-kind spice soup curry that smells of the ingredients, different from the naan curry of North India or Nepal, or the meals of South India. The tandoori chicken, chai, and salad for lunch toppings are all delicious. Especially the chai, it's truly Indian. There's a dog in front of the register that warms the heart. The atmosphere is full of exotic charm, and the staff is kind. The music playing is also good. Before I knew it, I've been visiting on my days off. I'm truly grateful they came to Nishieifuku.
View on GoogleIt was a curry with plenty of summer vegetables. You can choose the spiciness and the amount of rice, so it was a happy shop for me who can't eat a lot but loves curry. Vegetables included bitter melon, cherry tomatoes, lotus root, potatoes, and also chunks of tofu. The cucumber and myoga achar was also exquisite.
View on GoogleHad the fluffy egg and lassi. I chose spice level 3 which was spicy but it wasn't spicy, the egg 🥚 white was half raw so it wasn't fluffy, the chicken was moderately included which was a saving grace. I expected the lassi to be a thick yogurt with acidity but it wasn't, it was mixed with kinako or something to make it thick so it had a weird sweetness and unnecessary flavor, disappointed as I had expectations. Don't increase the menu halfway, I want you to narrow it down to about 3 items and pursue the authentic one with high spice aroma.
