I arranged to go drinking with a junior colleague in my hometown of Asagaya, and we explored "スターロード," the drinking district outside Asagaya Station’s north exit. There are all kinds of drinking establishments, from seemingly long-established places to relatively new Western-style izakayas. This time we visited this place, located farther along スターロード. Our first stop was "和田屋," another long-established place, and this was our second. Just judging by its charming exterior and atmosphere, is this not a fantastic drinking spot? I love places like this. We ordered the items listed above. ▼真鯛 ▼かつお ▼新子 ▼ハムエッグ ▼真鯛のポテトコロッケ As you can tell from the menu, this is a seafood-focused izakaya. With a wide selection of sashimi and seasonal items like "新子," it seems perfect for fish lovers. I wonder where they source their fish, but all the sashimi was delicious with no fishy smell. GOOD. I like かつお, and I would love to eat this again. Not overly light, with no dark bloodline meat, not heavy, and simply delicious. The 真鯛のポテトコロッケ was also delicious. Apparently it is a croquette with pieces of 真鯛 inside. Besides being an easy size to eat, the mild white-fish flavor seemed to work well with the seasoning of the potato. Something like this is nice once in a while. That is all. The seating is mainly at tables, so they can accommodate groups. The owner and his wife run the place and seem close to the regulars, which is lovely. Thank you for the meal. I will be back. ※Please like and save!

I visited alone as a treat for myself. There were so many things I wanted to eat, like duck hot pot and raw oysters. They accommodated my special requests, including sashimi and a hot pot for one. The fish I had never heard of and the Kyoto vegetables steeped in broth were delicious. Thank you(^^)

Delicious, and the service strikes a good balance without being intrusive

First of all, the hot pot broth is fantastic! The sashimi is fantastic too! Everything you eat here is delicious. It is a place that somehow keeps drawing you back.

The sashimi is delicious, the fish is delicious, and the sake🍶 is good too. A fun atmosphere.
