My favorite mom and pop shop in Asagaya. I always just ask for whatever is recommended and its always great with great service. I always feel welcome.

Old Japanese style house with narrow stairs and tatami room but the food were all self-made and carefully done. It was a nice experience! Subarashii!

My friend and I enjoyed the seasonal kappo course (8,000 yen per person) starting at 6:00 PM. We had a glass of draft beer and two cups of sake, bringing the total to just over 10,000 yen per person. It was a lavish get-together with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time, and the food was absolutely delicious—we were thoroughly satisfied. This cozy, old-fashioned little restaurant stands on a quiet side street near Asagaya Station in the downtown area. When you open the sliding door and step through the noren curtain, the owner and his wife—both with warm, friendly smiles—greet you cheerfully. After walking about five steps, we climbed the stairs to the second floor and settled into a section by the tokonoma alcove in the tatami room, which was divided into four sections of two seats each. We savored a variety of delicious dishes, starting with simmered clams, salted fish roe, and simmered fish paste, just as shown in the photos. Thank you for the wonderful meal! 😋

I visited for a weekday lunch, and the atmosphere was very nice. The shrimp tendon with 8 shrimp was quite impressive. The coating was light and fluffy and delicious too. The rice seemed a little scant, but I was satisfied. A large portion is +50円, so I'll get that next time. The menu also has fugu and suppon, so I thought I'd visit again.
