This was my first time here and I didn't have any expectations since the menu didn't have any pictures. But I tried the tonkatsu and it was delicious. This place also seems to be open to smokers because they provide ashtrays on the tables.
View on GoogleNice owner. Catering towards an older, smoking crowd. The food is okay. No desserts.
View on GoogleMy first visit. This was the first time in my life I had experienced anything like it, but there was something like a piece of plastic? mixed into the curry…. Looking at the clutter around the kitchen made me think so too; the management seems careless. When I first saw the owner, I instinctively felt something was off, as though there might be a problem with his character. Reading the reviews here confirmed that impression; it makes sense. I probably will not return, and you would be better off avoiding the curry.
View on GoogleI visited for lunch and ordered the chicken karaage set meal. The karaage tasted a little lightly seasoned, but it is gentle on the body. There was also plenty of salad, making it a healthy meal. Since the owner works alone, there is a bit of a wait when it gets busy, but that is understandable because he cooks carefully. I ordered the hamburg steak. The hamburg steak was juicy, the portion was just right, and I enjoyed it. The owner is also easygoing and has run the restaurant for a long time; it seems well rooted in the neighborhood. I visited around lunchtime and ordered the blend coffee. The flavor has a slightly light-roasted feel. Smoking is allowed at the seats inside, which is nice for smokers. I think it is good value for money. The owner is an older man, but he serves customers politely. Next time I would like to order some food.
View on GoogleThis is a coffee shop across the street when you head from Hamadayama Station toward Inokashira-dori. Inside, there are five to six tables. It is getting a little old, but it has a modern atmosphere. In addition to café items, there is a wide selection of food, with as many set meals as a diner, if not more. I ordered Napolitan, which was al dente, piping hot, and delicious. Napolitan is not offered as a set meal, so I ordered it separately, but the coffee is delicious, probably cloth-filtered, and they warm the cup before serving it. However, the owner's cigarette smell lingers inside, and he makes personal phone calls in the shop while keeping customers waiting. It is a shame that his attitude hardly seems appropriate for customer service. The food and drinks are good value, though… Lunch rating=2.7
