This is one of the places you must support so that we’ll have good local businesses. Tasty workingman food for affordable prices. Eiryu has a wide array of home made Chinese cooking from noodle-based soups (Tanmen, miso Ramen, wantan men, Wakame etc.), set meals like stir fried liver and scallions, mabo doufu, Yaki niku etc) and rice-based dishes like Chahan and donburi. I had the chahan and it was just right - perfectly accurate dish that can only be made by the guy behind the counter who makes the same food for decades. The place has CCTV footage on the inside which is pretty strange but also nice to look at the street and tv at the same time. There is also a shelf of very old manga books. The stools are really comfortable and everything else is old-school in a good way, from the hand written menu on the wall to the classic tableware.

【栄龍@桜上水】 One man takes orders, cooks, clears up, handles payments, and washes the dishes. I counted 15 seats, but even when they're all full, he handles everything without a hitch. A miraculous feat. A model neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It was here that I faced a plate of 焼肉ライス. ■焼肉ライス:980円 —————————— Is it all right to call out to the chef as he single-mindedly tosses his frying pan? I want to order. Customers keep coming in, so I steel myself: “Excuse me, may I order?” Without looking away from his pan, he casually replies, “Go ahead.” After that, customers order one after another. Can he remember it all? My 焼肉ライス arrives without much of a wait. The guy beside me ordered omurice and yakiniku on its own. His yakiniku was cooked together with mine, but mine properly comes with rice. The guy gets just the yakiniku. Impressive. If it tastes good too, there'll be nothing to fault. That's how it should go, and there really is nothing to fault. It's ridiculously delicious. The slightly sweet, savory stir-fried yakiniku looks heavily seasoned at first, but isn't. I understand why the guy ordered it on its own. Of course, paired with rice, it's obviously even better. So my way of ordering was the right one. Still, that really was delicious. Just remembering it brings happiness back to my mouth. ●Arrived just after opening on Saturday; 3 parties came in ●Likelihood of returning|★★★★☆ *************************************** 焼肉ライス:980円 【栄龍】 東京都杉並区下高井戸1-16-11 Opening hours|11:00 - 21:45 Closed|Sunday ※As of March 2026 ***************************************

I visited because I was drawn to the old-fashioned neighborhood Chinese restaurant atmosphere. I was surprised how quickly the food arrived even though the owner runs it alone! And it's affordable and delicious! There were other dishes I was curious about too (like omurice), so I'd like to visit again! ⭐️What I ordered this time 炒飯 800円 ⭐️Visit time A weekday at 19:30, no wait

Old-fashioned Tokyo ramen For anyone who thinks this isn't tasty, this is the taste of childhood. Maybe you're not from Tokyo? I often have half fried rice and gyoza, but the curry, omurice, and set meals are delicious too. People say the old guy is unfriendly, but that's not true. Since the pandemic, is there a problem with keeping conversation to the minimum necessary? There are some malicious comments. I think this is a place where it's fine if only people who find it delicious gather. I hope he stays healthy and keeps going for a long time!

Delicious neighborhood Chinese food The sign and doorway curtain stood out in the dark night and made me want to eat, so although I'd passed by, I made a U-turn and stopped in It has that nostalgic old-fashioned neighborhood Chinese restaurant feel, my favorite kind The curry seemed popular, so I ordered spicy curry rice Sure enough, it had that comforting taste of something I ate as a child, and it was delicious.
