Counter & table seating at a small eatery serving a ramen noodle soups with meat, egg & seafood.

Established in 1955. A shop serving chuka noodles in niboshi broth. The noodles are fairly soft and chewy, with about twice the quantity of ordinary ramen. This reflects the first owner's wish: "For one bowl to fill you up." The broth is also adjusted to suit the double portion of noodles. To preserve the flavor, smaller noodle portions are not available. Instead, you can buy a bottle container (130円) in the shop and take the remaining broth home. With 23 seats (13 counter seats and 10 table seats), it is bustling with people of all ages and genders. In recent years, more overseas guests have visited, and an English menu is available. □Available options□ Less oil・No oil・No garnish (green onions)・No menma・Ch…

One of the famous Taishoken family of ramen. The potion is huge so we ordered 1.5 but same price as 2. It is an experience for ramen lovers. Although as it’s not in the vicinity of where I live I have been here a few times. It’s a taste you don’t forget and want to try again and again.

Apparently the place has been running for decades and you can see why. The taste is different to any other kind of ramen and, despite having a strong flavor, it doesn’t get heavy. However, be very prepared: it is probably the largest bowl of ramen I’ve had in Japan (and there isn’t any ōmori option). The pork was smoky and I ordered additional menma that was good too. My only suggestion is to try to get there before 12, where the wait could be less than ten minutes. After that it can extend to up to 30 minutes.
