くくるDōtonbori Kukuru
A long-established shop specializing in takoyaki and akashiyaki, with its main store in Dotonbori, popular for its fluffy, melty texture and huge pieces of octopus. Combining the savory flavor of large octopus pieces with the aroma of wine, its takoyaki is all about the ingredients and a light, fluffy finish, with a melty, juicy center. The large takoyaki are packed with fresh, chunky octopus and crisp green onions. Sharp red pickled ginger and sweet tenkasu enhance the ingredients' flavors. A final touch of white wine, added as though flambéing, completes them.

The takoyaki was wonderfully melty inside and very delicious. Above all, I was impressed by how incredibly courteous the foreign staff were. Foreign staff are becoming more common everywhere, and many leave you feeling a little… but here, both the men and women were truly wonderful, from their language to their smiles. I visited when there were lots of customers and they seemed busy, but wow, I was impressed. I enjoyed delicious takoyaki and a pleasant experience☺️
View on GoogleI ate in. The foreign female staff member served me very courteously, and I was impressed. Both the takoyaki and akashiyaki were delicious too. It's also convenient that you can get takeaway from inside the ticket gates.
View on GoogleThe takoyaki is fluffy and pleasant in the mouth It's supposed to be freshly cooked, but it isn't piping hot and is somehow easy to eat. Foreign staff cook it, but the consistency must mean their operations are well organized. The sauce and mayonnaise—this may sound gross, but they taste so good I want to lick up what's left after eating The octopus, green onions, and red pickled ginger are well balanced and delicious. I'd like to try the akashiyaki, but eat it there rather than take it home. A rare kind of takoyaki shop in Tokyo
View on GoogleThere are several locations in its hometown of Dotonbori, Osaka, all popular enough to have queues🐙 But apparently there are also locations in Tokyo, including Shibuya, Odaiba, the National Stadium, and Skytree, so it doesn't feel particularly rare. I happened to pass by and bought some here, but the taste was entirely ordinary. I think it's because I reheated it at home😅 I didn't get that deliciousness of takoyaki eaten in Osaka. There seems to be an eat-in area inside, but eating and drinking outside the shop apparently aren't allowed. I saw someone being warned.
View on GoogleA takoyaki chain famous for fluffy, melty takoyaki, with its main store in Osaka and a location in Odaiba's Takoyaki Museum. This location is inside Asagaya Station, beside the ticket gates. The website and other sources say it's inside the station, but if you leave through the north exit and turn left, there's also an entrance accessible from outside. From inside the gates you can get takeaway; from outside the station you can eat in or get takeaway. The batter is soft and wonderfully melty, with a smooth mouthfeel♡ The sauce is sweet and gentle too. I ask for no bonito flakes so I can fully enjoy the fluffy, melty texture. My must-do is eating freshly cooked takoyaki there and getting takeaway to enjoy at home too ✼••┈Ordered items┈••✼ ○Takoyaki with large octopus pieces, 12 pieces 2022/10 ✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼
