Sushi restaurant that has been in business for over 90 years near Asagaya Station. Many regulars and delivery services are also available. Rooted in the community. There is a counter, a tatami room, and three tables. Credit cards are accepted in addition to cash. ○Bone Crackers A perfect accompaniment to beer, with just the right amount of salt. ◎Assorted sashimi Kohada, whelk, medium fatty tuna, red meat, octopus, and amaebi are fresh and tasty. They procure especially good tuna. ◎Special Sushi Sweet shrimp, medium fatty tuna, conger eel, salmon roe, herring roe, sea bream, and scallop. The satisfying lineup is sure to make your heart skip a beat. The sweetness of the amaebi, the prodigal texture of the chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and the richness of the ikura (salmon roe) stand out. ○Sushi Bamboo Course Standard course. Red tuna, salmon, tobiko, egg, and squid. Shrimp. The ingredients of the sushi are standard but delicious because they are fresh.

Suginami Ward is running a paypay cashback offer... And on top of that, there's extra cashback with an 阿佐ヶ谷商和会 coupon. During June, it effectively comes to 40%. Anyway, perhaps because I arrived at lunchtime, it was bustling, but since I was alone, I was taken straight to the counter. I decided to make the most of it and ordered omakase nigiri and nonalcoholic beer. Looking around, almost all the other customers were elderly. I found myself thinking they must be enjoying comfortable pension-funded lives... Well, first came the nonalcoholic beer... The glass was chilled too, and it tasted great👍 Then, just when I thought the sushi would arrive in a wooden tub, it was actually lined up directly on the counter. When was the last time I saw a scene like that? Enjoying a little sense of luxury, I savored all the sushi.

An old-fashioned sushi restaurant. Ordered the 1,980円 omakase nigiri lunch. First, pickled ginger, pickled daikon, and shibazuke are served on a small plate. The nigiri is placed directly on the counter, a style that's rare these days. Even at the counter, the nigiri isn't served 1~2 pieces at a time; everything is served together once it's all made. So the difference from the 1,540円 nigiri lunch is probably the quantity and quality of the toppings. Miso soup comes afterward. The toppings were lean tuna, toro, salmon, squid, horse mackerel, simmered scallop, egg, and half portions of cucumber and negitoro rolls. The topping quality and nigiri craftsmanship are somewhere between a casual place and a high-end restaurant. It's not especially good value as a lunch menu, but it's probably a fair price if they're to make a proper profit with ingredients of this quality. The quantity is nowhere near enough, though, so I think ordering an extra chirashi would make it about right. The evening à la carte menu is fairly pricey at 550~1,100円 per piece, but perhaps the toppings differ from lunch? I'd like to try it if I get the chance. The shop feels clean, and the atmosphere isn't bad. I think it's a place loved by local regulars. PayPay and other payment methods are accepted.

The sign was out, so I didn't notice that the noren curtain wasn't up yet and arrived before opening time. It was a very cold day, though, and they said, “Please wait inside if you'd like,” and served me tea. I had the omakase lunch. Since I can't eat much, I asked whether they could adjust the amount of rice, and they did so properly. Regulars kept arriving and reservation calls were coming in, so I thought this must be a well-loved place. I plan to visit again😊
