Street Chinese restaurant in Wada Teishakuten shopping street. The appearance of the restaurant is awesome (lol). From among three types of service sets Ramen and mini fried rice set.900 yen including tax. The ramen is like old-fashioned Chinese noodles. The amount of noodles is generous. The ingredients are a sheet of nori, pickled bamboo shoots, green onion, and a piece of chashu pork. The chashu pork seems to be homemade and is thick and tasty. I was satisfied with the fried rice, which is the kind of crispy fried rice I like.
View on Google11/29/2024 First time dining in here. Ordered the normal ramen (¥600) and it was okay. Looks they’re closed from outside but actually open. Got quite a few of different options to choose from. The restaurant seemed to be really for the regulars and locals but some construction workers were dining in, probably they were working nearby and having lunch there. CASH ONLY, no credit cards accepted
View on GoogleI had fried rice(750円), gyoza(480円), shredded meat rice bowl(900円), and chili shrimp(1400円). The fried rice was delicious, with egg and diced chashu bringing out the savory flavor. The chili shrimp was authentic, coated in a thick, garlicky sauce. The shredded meat rice bowl also had a rich flavor from the green peppers, meat, and onions, and a decent amount of rice made it filling. The interior is somewhat aged, so those concerned about cleanliness may notice things that bother them, but purely in terms of flavor, the food is very delicious. I'd like to return to try other dishes.
View on GoogleI was craving neighborhood Chinese food, so we visited as a group of 4 friends. We started with the classics: fried rice, gyoza, and stir-fried meat with garlic chives… The savory flavor hit hard from the first bite! Yet the seasoning was so perfectly balanced that we never tired of it. We got curious about the other dishes…! Before we knew it, we'd ordered 6 dishes (haha). Not a single dud, and an incredibly satisfying meal. Next time I'd like to try dishes we haven't had yet! A truly great place that makes you think, "I want to come back!" A definite repeat visit. Update: I returned because I was curious about the recently added "禁断のチャーシューチャーハン". The generous pile of chunky chashu was fragrant, juicy, and wonderfully satisfying. The fried rice had separate grains yet stayed moist, deeply infused with savory flavor. I couldn't put my spoon down… It was every bit as "sinfully delicious" as people said! The portion and quality were so impressive that I asked the owner, "Are you making any profit on this?" He replied, "None at all~haha." That one comment made me a fan (haha). Both the delicious food and the owner's personality make this a place I want to keep visiting. Thank you for the meal!
View on Google■Restaurant name 一番 ■Location Higashi-Koenji Station ■Budget 1000〜1999円 ■Ordered items ・Value set C (ramen + mapo rice bowl) ・Gyoza ----- One day. I really wanted a sauna, so I ventured a little farther from home to Higashi-Koenji. From there I walked another 10 minutes or so and took a break at a public bath near Kannana, in Wada. After getting that post-sauna bliss, I headed to this restaurant. Even from outside, it looks like a nice neighborhood Chinese place. It's on Wada Teishakuten-dori in a residential area. I ordered the items listed above. ▼Value set C (ramen + mapo rice bowl) The ramen has very little flavor. Hot water? Warm plain water? That's about the level, haha. Dormy Inn's yonaki soba is better. The chashu, at least, is decent. It would have been even better with soy sauce seasoning and a softer texture. A shame. Set C comes with a mapo rice bowl. It has a miso-like flavor dominated by tianmianjiang. Quite tasty, not bad. ▼Gyoza These are good, delicious. The garlic chives, garlic, and ginger stand out—the kind that makes you want rice. Rice rather than alcohol. There is sweetness from the vegetables too, and the flavor gets a passing grade. That's all. Exploring new places is great; I've found another lovely restaurant. I'd like to keep enthusiastically exploring neighborhood Chinese restaurants. Thank you for the meal. I'll be back. ※Please like and save!
