Came just after they opened, so I had to wait for the first wave of customers to finish. It was an extremely hot day and there’s only one bench outside, so it felt like being in a sauna. Fortunately, 15 minutes later they started coming out (the place seats 6 people max) and I came in. I am glad I didn’t leave while waiting. The chashu ramen was great, and the pork had this gentle, smoky flavor: one of the bests I’ve tried so far. The soup is not that heavy either. Must return.

can't understand why this ramen can get such high rate, pretty normal quality and flavour.

Right in front of Kugayama Station on the Keio Inokashira Line🚉 Located along the Kanda River Apparently the owner trained at “春木屋,” the famous long-established restaurant in Ogikubo, but this ramen shop has a different style from where he trained🍜 Once you pass through the well-worn noren curtain, there are only 7 counter seats inside The main menu is as follows ◇Chuka soba (shoyu ramen) ◇Shio soba ◇Shoyu tsukemen ◇Shio tsukemen ◇Chashu rice bowl ◇Rice🍚 <Shio tsukemen+large noodles> The salt-based dipping broth is never sharp, but gentle and mellow, and is a perfect match for the medium-thick straight noodles, which are particularly chewy and springy, have relatively low hydration, and offer a firm, snappy bite The noodles really convey the flavor of the wheat itself, and are very delicious🌾 Although even the standard portion is plenty, the savory flavor keeps you eating For me, a large portion is essential The standard price is 780円, and even a large portion is just +50円, making it 830円. Those prices are incredibly low for these times💸🉐 When it comes to “tsukemen,” most restaurants use a shoyu-based sauce, so this excellent restaurant with a salt-based sauce is a rarity✨ ◆Shio tsukemen (780円)+large noodles (50円)

I'm absolutely delighted to have found delicious shio tsukemen after so long. It feels similar to 武将 in Umegaoka, Setagaya, which is now gone, perhaps with a slightly shrimp-salt-like flavor. The atmosphere clearly feels as if it has been around since Showa. There are only 6 counter seats. The owner, a quiet-looking man around his 50s who runs everything alone, provides wonderful service too. A large shio tsukemen and a chashu rice bowl for just 1150円 including tax is unbelievably good value. There's no raised false bottom in the bowl, and it's packed full. When I requested broth to dilute the dipping sauce, it seemed to come back with more ingredients in it. Perfect. It's a shame they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays and only open at lunchtime. Apparently, business in 2026 starts on 1月11日 (Sunday). Sometimes I get an irresistible craving for it and visit fairly often, but I'm surprised by how many other people's posts criticize the owner's attitude. It's a completely one-person operation. Personally, I'd be grateful just to be able to eat at that value. It saddens me that there are so many small-hearted people in the world. On the other hand, how hard would it be if you took the owner's place! Try imagining it! That's what I want to say.

I visited at 14, avoiding the lunchtime rush. It's usually crowded, and I didn't want to wait outside in the heat, so the timing was perfect. Shoyu-flavored chashu tsukemen. I've had it several times, and it's consistent. Some people might find it a little salty, but since it's tsukemen, I think it's good that the flavor doesn't become diluted by the end. The restaurant is narrow and has only counter seats, so backpacks or bulky outerwear in the coming season make it feel even tighter. Its atmospheric appearance alongside the neighboring izakaya is nice too. The chashu tsukemen is 1080円.
