BOLBOL Persian Restaurant
This is 'bolbol persian', a long-established authentic Persian (Iranian) restaurant that has been running for 24 years in Koenji, Tokyo. At our shop, we continue to uphold the traditional recipes that the Iranian owner-chef has protected for many years, and we continue to deliver that reliable taste to everyone (sometimes the owner himself stands in the kitchen to show off his skills!). Persian cuisine is not spicy, and is characterized by a gentle taste that is very suitable for the Japanese palate, utilizing the rich aroma of herbs and the flavor of the ingredients. You can enjoy authentic home-cooked flavors, such as juicy charcoal-grilled kebabs, traditional slow-cooked meat dishes, and saffron-scented rice. 24 years of history...

The best Persian restaurant in Japan! I have had the most authentic Persian dishes at Bolbol restaurant. Everything was amazing, from different kebabs to traditional stews, not to mention their bread, which is freshly baked, and a variety of appetizers. The atmosphere is friendly, and they also have bellydance shows on weekends.
View on GoogleYou will not leave hungry or disappointed, it’s extremely tasty. I enjoyed the traditional cherry drink. I think spice levels are accurate, the medium had a nice kick but not too much. Pick mild if you can’t handle the heat.
View on GoogleWe went for lunch on a weekend and were able to find a table for 2. There is a good selection of dishes and appetizers. The food came in decent portions and was flavourful (although on the sour side for me) The standout was a good Babaganoush alongside some huge nans. Even though out nans were taking a while, I saw the owner (I think) asking his staff repeatedly to hurry up and not make us wait which is something I really appreciate. Overall a good place to find Persian food which is hard to find in Tokyo
View on GoogleIt has been on my list for a very long time. Persian food and specially kebabs are the main food options. The lunch kebab set came with a nice soup and priced 1680yen however no drinks like tea etc included. Tea should be included to make it a complete set The kebab quantity is nice however the dish felt dry with rice. Also I was not too impressed with the kebab taste.
View on Googleit was my first time trying persian food. i loved every bit of it. the belly dancing was fascinating ❤️ definitely recommend
