I visited this long-established Western-style restaurant in Takadanobaba. It’s a very small place with counter seating only, and the interior definitely shows its age. Some areas could be a little cleaner, but it also has the nostalgic atmosphere of an old-school local restaurant. The food was delicious and extremely generous in portion size. The flavors were classic and comforting, exactly what you’d expect from a traditional Japanese yoshoku restaurant. Considering the amount of food and the quality, I thought the value for money was excellent. One thing to note is that they only accept cash. This probably isn’t the place for someone looking for a modern or stylish restaurant, but if you care more about tasty food, large portions, and good value, it’s definitely worth trying. I’d happily come back when I’m craving a hearty meal in Takadanobaba.

高田馬場でひっそりがっつりな定食を提供する洋包丁さんに伺いました。 ポークからし焼肉（大）カニコロッケ1,150円いただきました。山盛りご飯に軽くごま塩振って、濃い味かつコショウピリ辛のジューシーお肉超うま〜。ワシワシご飯が進みますが、おっさんがコレをやっては健康によろしくない気がして罪悪感アリ。うま〜。 店内はカウンターのみ8席程。その向こうはこぢんまりしたキッチン。店前の券売機で食券を買い、入店後にお店の人に渡すスタイル。 マスターが火がボーボーのなかフライパンを振るい、すごいスピードで料理が提供されます。ホール係1名のおばさんがテキパキ動き効率的。近隣サラリーマンのおじさん中心の客層とあいまって回転が速い。平日12:00少し前来訪で満席、外待ちの2番目。10分ほどで入店後程なく着丼とよいテンポ。プロのオペレーションです。 場所柄駐車場は近隣コインパーキング。駅近なので徒歩来店が良いですね。
