Absolutely gem hidden in the center of Tokyo. As a Spanish guy that has lived in Italy I had to say that this restaurant has one of the best Italian cuisines not only in Japan, in the world! 4 tables only, super private, super classic, super good. It feels like being in a “speak easy-private restaurant”. The chef is really kind and talented, he also gave us tea and his handmade focaccia and it was amazing!!! You can see that he cooks with passion. I’m sure that this restaurant is going to be a hot spot in couple months, happy for this chef, he really deserves it 👏🏼 Pd: it’s in level -1 after his little shop yeah, you’re right! Its a little bit hard to find but that’s part of the experience and we loved it
View on GoogleI used this restaurant for a dining gathering. Perhaps because it was a weekday, the interior was very quiet and relaxed, so we could enjoy our meal while taking our time to talk. The food reflected the manager's care in choosing ingredients and seasoning, and seemed thoughtfully prepared. However, although everything was consistently tasty overall, I felt it was a little lacking in terms of special surprises or a memorable dish. It was also slightly disappointing that the course did not include dessert after the meal, but I think it's a convenient choice when you want a quiet dining gathering.
View on GoogleUnfortunately, our reservation fell on the day of a typhoon, but with our hearts full of anticipation for fine food, we headed to the restaurant despite the wind and rain. Because of the typhoon, we were the only guests, but that allowed us to slowly savor wonderful food in a calm atmosphere. Every dish was carefully prepared, and each one tasted better than we expected. If you want to enjoy Italian cuisine in a peaceful setting with just the right touch of something special in 新宿西口, this is a restaurant I wholeheartedly recommend visiting💕
View on GoogleAt first I was a little unsure because it's in the basement of a building housing various businesses, but it turned out to be a lovely restaurant where a friendly chef welcomed us with delicate food and a warm atmosphere. The lunch course consisted of an appetizer, pasta, a main dish, dessert, and herbal tea, all carefully finished and very delicious. They also made a cute birthday plate, which delighted my companion. It became such a lovely day. Thank you.
View on Google【新宿】”WANG” A newly opened meat-focused Italian restaurant in 新宿. I visited that day for a private gathering with food enthusiasts. It's right near 新宿 Station. The restaurant is on basement floor 1, with an unusual layout: it's behind a general goods shop at the front. That day, instead of a course, we asked them to serve the restaurant's recommendations à la carte, focusing on meat dishes. My first drink was ”富士ビール”. Apparently this is the only place serving it in Tokyo?! Its vibrant finish was memorable. “Prefecture 大阪 山崎12年 foie gras terrine” A foie gras terrine served as the appetizer. Amazingly, this extravagantly luxurious terrine is marinated with 山﨑12年. Cashews add an accent! “Prefecture 山梨 フジノスケ carpaccio” This is a variety developed by crossing king salmon and rainbow trout. It's exceptionally fatty. The tangy sauce paired with it is well balanced, and kumquat makes it even more vibrant. On top are herbs and oka cress. Many of the plates are distinctive, and the presentation is beautiful.. Like a painting. “Prefecture 山梨 × Prefecture 群馬 pâté de campagne” Pâté de campagne containing duck, pork, liver, and more. Served with whole-grain mustard. I noticed aromas of herbs and spices. At this point, there's no way not to have some wine… “Prefecture 群馬 ほそやのまる豚 porchetta” Porchetta is known as a regional Italian dish. They showed us the process of boldly carving it right in front of us. Wonderful aromas of herbs and garlic spread through the air. “Prefecture 山梨 wild 甲州 deer” The cut is the haunch. The meat's savory flavor is strong enough to stand up to the rich red-wine-based sauce. “Prefecture 山梨 ふじさん牧場 wine lamb” The last meat we had was ふじさんワインラム (leg meat), raised on wine pomace. The vegetable accompaniments were delicious tooーー! This might have been my first time focusing so completely on meat dishes. An Italian restaurant, or a meat bistro?? Perhaps this kind of restaurant seems like it should exist, but surprisingly hasn't. It's also nice that you can book it privately even for a small group (from around 7 people?). Access from the station is excellent too, and I think it's a very convenient restaurant for different occasions.
