The star of the show—slices of yellowtail—arrived beautifully marbled, with a delicate sheen that spoke to their freshness. When briefly swished in the bubbling hotpot, they turned tender and buttery, soaking up the subtle umami of the broth. The vegetable platter was a visual and textural delight, showcasing a vibrant medley of mushrooms (shiitake, enoki, shimeji, and more), leafy greens, and thinly sliced negi. Together, they contributed deep earthy notes and a refreshing crunch that complemented the fish perfectly. Superb place for dinner. We had a party of 7, we made reservations in advance and was given a little room to ourselves. Went with locals which was a plus for us as they do not provide English menus. Neither were their menus equipped with visuals, so it'd be difficult if you can't read Japanese. Thoroughly enjoyed the food we had, extremely fresh and delicious. The pictures would speak for themselves.

Yoooo this place is great bang for your buck!! If you want to try a whole bunch of very Japanese traditional dishes (and more adventurous plates like horse sashimi), this is your spot. Very reasonable prices, despite some higher spec dishes like wagyu sushi. Every dish here was fireeee. Just the decor could lighten up a bit, haha!

Returned again and had another dinner. A plus when staffs are so professional and pleasant. Keep it up Wa team! Excellent izakaya with refined food.

The food and the service is good but the atmosphere is not great and is quite smelly, not recommended for a first date.
