魚がし日本一Uogashi Nihon-Ichi
Freshly formed Edomae sushi, anytime, with the toppings you like, as much as you like. A return to the origins of the 「sushi stalls」 of 200 years ago. The original standing sushi restaurant supports busy businesspeople's dining needs with fresh toppings and warm sushi rice, served as nigiri across the counter. ※Reservations are not available because this is a standing-only restaurant

My #1 dining experience in Japan by far! Its not fancy (It's literally a standing bar) but the sushi is as good as you can get on this planet. The chefs were really cool and polite. They know enough English to make it easy..! You get a green tea, then you just go to town ordering whatever you want, one at a time or all at once. I went back a second time and id go every day if I could. Also! The price is really good. I spent about $18 USD but I got a lot more food than the average human world. Make it a must-do.
View on GoogleMy favourite sushi spot in Japan! Must try! It’s like an omakase but faster service. Cheap and cheerful. The chefs are funny and efficient. Sake by the glass highly recommend to pair with your meal. The grilled squid is a must try!
View on GoogleThis was easily our favorite sushi spot during our time in Japan. It’s a standing sushi place, fairly small with limited space, but everything moves quickly so it never felt like an issue. The fish was incredibly fresh and the craftsmanship really stood out. You can watch everything being prepared right in front of you, which made the whole experience even better. The place is very easy to navigate even if you don’t speak Japanese. You can order using pictures and everything is made right away. We went for the set menu first, then ended up ordering a few extra pieces of our favorite nigiri because it was just that good. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the level of quality you get. Definitely a place worth visiting, we would come back without hesitation.
View on GoogleFirst time at a standing sushi restaurant, and I went alone. You order directly from the chefs while standing around the counter. As a shy person, I worried about ordering more than once, but the staff and chefs were incredibly friendly—any eye contact turned into a nice chat, making me feel totally at ease. Both chefs spoke good English. The fish was super fresh, and the unagi was a standout—cooked just right, it was soft, juicy, and had a lovely grilled scent that hit just right. I got there at 9 and had zero wait time. If you’re staying in the area, definitely stop by!
View on GoogleI dined in this place 2 nights in a row. There’s a wait time of around 10-20mins every time but the food and service makes it all so worth it. The nigiris were mindblowingly good, the soup’s also decent, and the service is superb! Cant wait to be back.
