The capsule hotel was a pleasant surprise—clean, cozy pods with good privacy and helpful staff. Though the location isn’t exactly central, it’s still fairly close to main areas and sits within a peaceful neighbourhood, perfect for a quiet rest after exploring. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and found it great value.

I’d say this hostel is pretty much perfect, as long as you’re not looking for an incredibly social hostel. It checks all the boxes. Beds were real comfy, wi-fi worked perfectly, bathrooms and toilets were kept clean, and there’s enough so you never have to wait long. Towels are provided, as well as shampoo and body wash. there’s a laundry machine onsite, so it’s easy to do your laundry. The restaurant downstairs serves good food, and prices are reasonable. There’s free basic breakfast too (bagels and yogurt). Just choose a different flavor of bagel each day to break the monotony. Heh. The location is great—- the nearest train station is only a five minute walk away. There are also many restaurants nearby. If you’re on a really tight budget, there’s a Family Mart right next door for cheap, delicious meals ;) ||||The only downside, as I’ve mentioned, is that there’s not much social atmosphere. This is pretty common in capsule hostels in Japan though. You could make friends during breakfast every morning, or hang out in the small common area at the third floor—- that’s pretty much it. The hostel does occasionally have activities for guests (like tours) but these occur infrequently. If they had daily activities lined up that would surely make this hostel more social.

I had a really great stay at UNPLAN Kagurazaka. I’m not sure if it’s just a Japan thing or the kind of travelers this place attracts, but the atmosphere was incredibly quiet. Everyone was very respectful, and the overall vibe made it feel almost as if I had the whole room to myself — which is rare for a hostel and a huge plus if you value rest and privacy. There’s a restaurant on the first floor, and when it’s not operating, guests are free to use the space. It’s a nice area to sit, relax, or get some things done. Breakfast is simple — a bagel with butter — but it feels just right and thoughtfully prepared. The location is also convenient, with both 7-Eleven and FamilyMart just a short walk away, making it easy to grab anything you need. Overall, it’s a place I would happily return to and recommend to others.

I have been in the dorms so i didn't came with alot of expectations The stuff are super friendly and nice and the place is really really clean But i have 3 problems they the 4 starts First i dident know the entrance is part a restaurant (that's own by different man) and when i came down to sit at one of the tables he told me to go to the UNPLAN table that with a long chair That wasn't a good experience for me and a simple info about it could fix all of it Secend the breakfasts (that includes in the price) are just bred coffee/tea boiled egg and acorrsont it get old really fast And lastly they close the roof top and the outside area at 18??? I dont get the hung of it, it super early and its really nice place to sit even at 10 All and all the facilities are great just those problems sadly

Nice place and clean. Very trendy with a cafe in it (and coupons for some free coffees). Showers are clean and fully private stalls and the bathrooms are clean. However, do not come expecting to meet people. Crowd isn’t sociable and the common room is dead. Gets a bit pricy on weekends it seems and given the lack of sociability, you can find hotels or vacation rentals for a little more on weekends so the value proposition on weekends falls a lot. Also the shoe closet naturally smells bad and they are aware of this with measures in place, however moving the shoe closet out of the dorm room and into the hallway just outside or something would help for lingering smells the spraying and fragrance cannot cover up.
