Location seemed fine with nice outdoor seating and view of the garden area. Service was OK but when it was my turn to be called upon by the cashier she just stood there staring out into space. Everything else seemed fine after she took my order. I got the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and it was super sad. There was lettuce, which isn't supposed to be in a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel sandwich. There were two tiny pieces of bad salmon. It wasn't smoked and had no flavor. Also the cream cheese was just a spoonful plopped onto the bagel instead of even spread around. The outside of the bagel was oily too, like they handled it after touching the oily salmon. It's an OK spot, I suppose, for students looking for cheap crap to eat quickly but for a passerby looking to eat lunch this was so disappointing. You're better off walking a bit further to the main street to eat at any of the other restaurants over there.
View on GoogleWaseda's own cafe that also sells lots of university merch 🐻 Do expect long lines during lunch since this is where students go to grab a quick meal. I ordered a matcha latte with the famous cream cheese and salmon bagel 🥯 Personally, you can definitely pass on the matcha latte since it's way too sweet and get any of the coffee based drinks instead. On another day, I tried their iced latte and it wasn't bad! The bagel though was really delicious 😭 The salmon paired so well with the cream cheese and the taste of the bagel itself was really good 🥹 Thanks so much to my friend for recommending the bagels to me can't believe I missed out on this for an entire year 🤣
View on GoogleCute uni affiliated cafe which also sells waseds university merchandise. They have a good selection of drinks and sitting on the outside terrace with views towards the garden is very pleasant.
View on GoogleA cafe and gift shop at Waseda university, just next to the Okuma garden. There are seats outside with parasols for shade, as well as interior seating. Also within is a small university gift shop, stocking the usual small branded gifts and souvenirs one finds in such places. The coffee was not overly expensive, and there was a wide variety of tea and coffee on offer, all of which seemed available 'to go'. Cappuccino was served with a large cinnamon stick. Small and large cakes were also on sale. Sitting outside was very pleasant. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The quality of service seems to very much depend on the day and person at the till - on one of the two occasions I have been here the person at the cash register was a little curt. Overall however this is a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink.
View on GoogleUni” as in University, right in the middle of Waseda university garden, lovely to sit outdoors when the weather permits! They sell branded merch and everything the Uni name on. They have coffee, cake, pancakes, as well as savory stuff (I didn’t go for that tho so I can’t comment). I got the banana chiffon cake and coconut latte, both excellent!
