羅家 東京豚饅TOKYO PORK BUN
Osaka's soul food pork bun. A pork bun that has been familiar as a snack since childhood and recognized by every Osaka person as Osaka culture. We opened 'Tokyo Butaman' with the desire that people in Tokyo can easily enjoy that freshly made taste. The ingredients are only two, carefully selected high-quality pork and onions. Pork uses 3 different parts, mixed with onions in a good balance, and seasonings are mixed with a secret recipe to draw out the texture and umami. The skin that wraps everything is a commitment to control the peak of fermentation to match the day's production and day's sales, because freshness is life. To look good and be easy to eat, and to be steamed fluffy, skilled craftsmen pour love...

Located inside EATo LUMINE at JR Shinjuku Station, this shop is incredibly convenient since you can purchase it right within the station—perfect for souvenirs or ready-to-eat side dishes. I picked some up as a souvenir just before heading home, and it was a great choice. Their signature pork bun is impressively filling…you wouldn’t believe it costs only 300 yen. The portion size and quality exceeded my expectations🤣 I also enjoyed watching the artisans carefully prepare each bun by hand. Seeing their craftsmanship made the wait both fun and worthwhile.
View on GoogleI think this is the Tokyo version of the famous Horai pork bun from Osaka. Line was long but it moved fast. I tried one of the original pork buns since the black pepper one was already sold out for the day. It was a good cheap snack for 300yen but I would not wait in a very long line for this.
View on GoogleThe pork bun was very tasty, it really seemed like they used good meat for the filling. We only split one but it was very good. The only downside was the queue is very long, especially if you're only having one as a quick snack. It would be great if they could find a way to serve faster. Still, it tasted much better than the average pork pao / bao in Singapore!
View on GoogleWhy is this 3.6??? I loved this pork bun. High quality pork with no extenders, bun is absolutely good and well kneaded, they provide mustard as sauce. Long lines here agree with the fact that it's good. Please open a branch in Singapore.
View on GoogleThis is a pork bun specialty store located in "EATo LUMINE" inside the JR Shinjuku Station ticket gate. At the beginning, there was a long line, but recently you can buy it without lining up if the timing is right.🐖 This time I took home 6 pieces of shumai (680 yen). Each one is large and filling, so it was perfect when you want to add one more side dish for dinner!🌟 The signature pork bun is also popular, with a juicy taste full of meat broth. Personally, I prefer 551 Horai's pork bun, but this is also delicious enough, and I buy it occasionally when I'm hungry or as a souvenir when using Shinjuku Station. Since it is inside the station, the access is good and it is a shop that you can easily stop by before or after getting on the train.
