Teppan Ten-yu at BELLUSTAR TOKYO was a pleasant dining experience with a beautiful view and calm atmosphere. The restaurant feels modern and elegant, and the counter seating make it easy to enjoy watching the chef cooking in front of you. The ingredients were good quality and each dish was prepared carefully. The meat was cooked nicely, and the seafood also had a clean and natural flavor. Presentation was beautiful, but some dishes felt little bit simple for this price range. Everything was tasty, although there was not so many surprising moment during the course. Service was polite and professional. The staffs explained each dish clearly and the timing was generally smooth. The atmosphere is quiet, so it may be good for a business dinner, anniversary, or when you want to have a relaxed meal away from busy Shinjuku. The view was beautiful, and we could enjoy our meal in a relaxed way. Overall, it was a good teppanyaki restaurant inside a luxury hotel. The food, service and space were all well balanced, but I think the biggest attraction is the location and atmosphere rather than only the cooking itself.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. We were warmly greeted at the door and escorted inside, where our seats were prepared and graciously pulled out for us. The level of attentiveness was immediately apparent and never wavered throughout the evening. The wine selection was outstanding, and we ordered a truly remarkable bottle that complemented the meal perfectly. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and consistently attentive without ever being intrusive. The chef was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate, preparing one of the most memorable meals I have had. Each course arrived in perfect order and at exactly the right time, and every dish was extraordinary beyond belief. The view was absolutely stunning and elevated the entire experience. Every detail was handled with care, precision, and professionalism. I have zero complaints. To conclude the evening, we were personally walked to the elevator and respectfully bowed out, which was a beautiful and unforgettable final touch. An impeccable dining experience in every respect. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Hands down the best of the best teppanyaki Tokyo has to offer. And the staff are so very friendly and sweet. I'm in love! Hope I am lucky enough to come visit again next time!!! 😁 Amazing miso soup, absolutely fantastic Kobe beef. What a view of mount Fuji and Tokyo, come when it's opening and you'll see the sun set and the lights of the city...

Overall was good with good view. Food is fresh and tastes is great. But don't know why the waitress pour the wine for us is way more less then the western people sitting next to us. Hope there's improvements on professionalism. Average spending per person around 15000Yen.

This teppanyaki-style restaurant sits atop two premium hotels in Shinjuku. We had a deliciously prepared meal that included beef from Okinawa and a wine pairing. The total for 4 of us was nearly $1,000. We used our credit cards to pay. When exiting, we were stopped by the maître d’ who said we had been accidentally undercharged by 1 yen. He would not let us leave until I went down to my hotel room and returned with a 1¥ coin. Given that the hotel and restaurant caters to foreigners, especially Westerners, this overriding concern for perfection put a real damper on what would’ve been an otherwise nice meal. To convert this perfectionism to USD, it was like being harassed for another $0.007 after paying $1,000. A bizarre and uncomfortable ending to the meal.
