Tenkane
Compact space with an open kitchen, serving tempura vegetables & seafood from Tsukiji Market.
This is 「Tempura Ten Kane」, a tempura specialty restaurant on 1F of Shinjuku HALC. Since its founding in Meiji 36 (1903), it has been family-run through successive generations, striving to provide customers with safe, reliable, high-quality ingredients. We go to Toyosu Market almost every morning to purchase carefully selected ingredients. From long-standing suppliers who worked with the previous generation, we source traditional Edomae tempura ingredients such as shrimp, kisu, and anago. By researching ingredients that catch our eye at the market, we also keep an eye out for new suppliers and ingredients. Both lunch and dinner menus consist only of course meals. Depending on the course, you can enjoy seasonal sashimi as well as tempura. For drinks, we also offer options that pair well with tempura…

Discovered this place while wondering around Shinjuku. We went in for lunch, the quality of food and service caught us by surprise! The chef fried every piece in front of you. Yummy 😋Highly recommended!
View on GoogleDrinking beer and freshly fried tempura makes life much better if you're tired of walking. The shop is really warm welcome, There are good, cares and attentive service. It's another good restaurant experience.
View on GoogleI would not recommend this place. The tempura was just okay. Only 4 out of 14 of the dishes were great. It was a fun experience but definitely not worth $93 per person.
View on GoogleExcellent food, and service. Set menu for dinner is omakase style, with prawn, seafood, and vegetable tempura finished with rice and soup. Optional sashimi starter course, and fruit selection for dessert. Didn’t seem to have a kid’s menu, but more than enough food for two adults to share with a three-year old as well. Come hungry, and take your time; the tempura never seemed to stop!
View on GoogleFriendly staffs! Traditional Japanese Tempura restaurant with traditional decorations. Tempura were served right of the fryer. The serving size is just right for most of people so we have room to enjoy desserts next door.
