I came here for lunch because a friend recommended it. ＊Tonkatsu chazuke (small) 1,490yen The cabbage was sweet and good, but the katsu itself was pretty ordinary. I did like finishing with the ochazuke since it was light and refreshing, but overall it wasn’t really to my taste. The pork miso soup was disappointing. It was extremely oily, with oil floating on the surface, so I couldn’t eat it.

Historic Tonkatsu of great quality in 5F near Shinjuku east / Kabukicho. Above the Doutor cafe. Highly recommended if you like cutlet.

Try the Tonkatsu Cyazuke large. I ordered the regular and found the stir fried cabbage insufficient. The garlic ginger sauce was excellent with the pork cutlet and stir fry cabbage. Did the recommended outhodox style to end this meal and it was a different experience altogether. The green tea and soy sauce helped ease the grease and made the meal a memorable one.

Incredible meal with an amazing view! We went before rush hour and managed to get the best seats. Super welcoming atmosphere and personnel, delicious tonkatsu set. And their miso soup with clams is the tastiest we’ve had so far in Tokyo. Free rice refill. Absolutely recommended! We were so happy with this restaurant as they have it all: good atmosphere, delicious food and great view!
