I had such an amazing yakitori experience. There are rare items you can not find everywhere. Everything was cooked to perfection. The owner was very friendly. We shared a glass of beer together and had a pleasant chat. I will definitely repeat it in my next Tokyo trip. Hope to meet you again! Master, see you again soon! : )
View on GoogleDinner before heading back home. This is skewers shop which mainly serve chicken skewers. The taste of their skewers are little bit salty, that's why they sell quite wide range of drinks as well. Shop is not big. Suggest eat there early (so you can get ready for your late night snacks). As it cooks when you order, so, it will take some time for them to get your food ready.
View on GoogleForeigners friendly yakitori restaurant. There’s two way to get seats in this restaurant: get reservation or walk in no more than 30mins after they open. That’s it, otherwise you need to wait a lot. However the food was SO GOOD, very flavorful, I would say the seasoning is on the heavier side, personally I prefer it that way. There is a seating fee that comes with appetizer (10/10 btw), most izakaya in Japan has this rule so if that’s not something you want to accept maybe find another restaurant.
View on GoogleSomething isn’t right with this izakaya. They really display an “I don’t care if you queue outside” attitude and are severely understaffed. There were empty tables, but their table-clearing speed is exceptionally slow and inefficient, so expect to wait. They are not outright rude, but the attitude is very apparent. By Japanese standards, this would probably be considered extremely rude. The only pro is that they have staff who can speak English. The cover charge is ¥400 per person, which comes with a snack. However, not everyone eats raw snacks, and they didn’t offer any alternatives. It is what it is. You are also expected to order one drink per person. I can’t give more than an average score, as the yakitori is also very average. If you’re reading this review and wondering whether the queue is worth it - no, it’s not. Nobody mentioned this in the reviews I read, so I’m telling you now.
View on GoogleThe staff was welcoming even though they didn't speak English. I ordered off their special menu and it didn't disappoint! The white liver was surprisingly my favorite but it was all delicious. They charge you a cover charge (440¥ each) and each must order at least a drink. I showed up at 450pm and there was no line. They opened at 5 and during my 15 minute start we were the only people there. Prices are decent.
