新宿アカシアShinjuku acacia
A long-established Western-style restaurant founded in 1963, nestled in a prime location just a 2-minute walk from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station: 「洋食 アカシア 新宿本店」. Loved by many customers over the years, we offer appetizing dishes with rich flavors that could be called the epitome of Western-style cuisine in Shinjuku. Our signature dish, the "Roll Cabbage Stew," is a gem: cabbage simmered so tender you can cut it with a spoon, generously wrapped around juicy ground Kuroge Wagyu beef and pork. Soaked in our special chicken soup and homemade roux, its deep, rich flavor pairs perfectly with rice (Tsuyahime from Yamagata). The mellow umami of the stew intertwines with the juiciness of the meat, and with every bite, the rice…

We came here about 1:30 on a Thursday on mid-July. It is two floors and since the lower floor was full, we were directed to the second floor. The meals are filling and the set comes with a cabbage soup. It is worth a try if you've never had it. It has a creamy texture kind of like Clam Chowder. Since we were the only patrons on the second floor, they did not come back to refill our water after our meals were served.
View on GoogleI tried the iconic cabbage roll with white stew. The place was beautiful and the food came out super fast. The taste was nice, it wasn't special but if you don't know where to eat I'd say it's a good option.
View on GoogleA Western-style restaurant in Shinjuku. It was a very pleasant surprise that on the other side of the world you can enjoy a dish from your own backyard – cabbage rolls. And prepared so deliciously and perfectly. Especially the creamy sauce. We also ordered omuraisu – fluffy and very tasty. The waiter described what we were ordering and was pleasantly surprised when we mentioned that cabbage rolls are often eaten for dinner in our country. We were also positively received when we used chopsticks for Japanese dishes. Overall, the service was very open and very friendly. A very positive experience. The elegant interior with its Western decor was also impressive. Visited in 2024.
View on GoogleA great place to enjoy Western and Japanese fusion dishes in a unique vintage atmosphere. I recommend to try one of the set meals so that you can enjoy the famous creamy roll cabbage and something else. The curry and bacon one are highly recommended!! Check out the furniture and lighting too!
View on GoogleI visited here around lunchtime on a holiday. As expected, there was a line in front of the restaurant, but I was able to get in after waiting for about 10 minutes. I ordered the limited menu items of the day — pork hamburger steak and cabbage roll stew. Both were flavorful and well-seasoned, and I felt very satisfied with the meal.
