【Popular izakaya where you can drop by casually】 "Sakaba Nonki", which stands quietly in the back alley of Arakicho, provides a warm space where you can drop by casually, with three pillars of "Sake x Oyster x Obanzai". Our shop's three specialties are, first, "Sake collected from all over the country". We have a variety of brands from various regions selected by the landlady, and you can also enjoy limited sake that changes every season. Beginners don't worry, our staff will guide you politely. Next is "Raw oysters shipped directly from the production area". We buy the freshest oysters of the day from fishing ports all over the country, and the plump and rich taste will make you addicted after eating it once. It goes perfectly with sake. And not to be forgotten is...

For the first time in my life spending years in Arakicho, I was surprised to encounter a gokon (matchmaking party) of young, a large party so loud and oppressive that folks at my table felt under pressure. These customers do not require quiet streets on Arakicho. They belong to Shinjuku. Now talk about the restaurant. Seating is so narrow and my back was touching (or being touched) by loud customers behind me. Gross. Staff are way too fresh to manage the floor and do not know how to serve cloudy Sake. Fried dishes came way too cooked. Once is enough here.

Wow I never had more variety in taste in one meal than at Sakabanonki and everything was so good, I cant recommend it enough. This has to be one of the best lunches I've ever had. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful and knew enough English to explain everything well. Make sure to order the small dish assortment! Arigato gozaimasu!

There are a lot of Izakaya around this neighborhood, but this one if my favorite as their hospitality. Staffs are so nice and they will recognize you if you go there more than twice! Their Izakaya menus are so tasty and go well with drinks. Avocado, hormone skewer and many more to try!

Had the best time at this great spot a few minutes walk from Yotsuya. Place was lively and I believe we were the only tourists in there. Food and service were excellent. Staff came out the door to wish us farewell!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem last November 5, on our second day in Tokyo. After a quick Google search, we found this place with good reviews. With our limited Japanese, attempting to use Google translate for the menu proved challenging. So I asked the friendly server for menu with pictures, and he quickly understood and kindly provided one - a true lifesaver. Even with a language barrier, the server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service was impressively fast, with our orders arriving promptly. The food itself was delicious, and to top it off, the cooks bid us farewell as the server kindly saw us off outside, saying goodbye with a friendly smile. The customer service was exceptional, making it clear why this place has good reviews. To fellow tourists, don't hesitate to try this hidden gem. Highly recommended! A big thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful experience!
