I’d give it a 4.5 if I could. This place is known for its fried rice (チャーハン) and is on a number of top lists in Tokyo. This place is crowded all the time so be prepared to wait. Of course I ordered the fried rice but I got the large size. And let me tell you, it was the largest amount of rice that’s ever been put in front of me. The regular is more than enough for one. It was delicious and absolutely worth getting. The service was fast and friendly.

Ryūhō is famous for a reason, but your experience might depend heavily on what you order. The absolute superstar here is the Fried Rice (Chahan). It lives up to the hype—incredibly flavorful, perfectly executed, and easily one of the best I've ever had. However, the other dishes were a bit hit-or-miss. The signature Ryuho Ramen was a little too salty for my taste, and the Twice-Cooked Pork (Hoikoro) was just average and didn't really stand out. Come here for the legendary fried rice and the classic, bustling machi-chuka (neighborhood Chinese) atmosphere, but choose your sides wisely!

The famous fried pork has a great taste and presentation. Fried rice is flavorful but could use more heat.

-One of the greatest fried rice places in Tokyo- I love their chunky pork meat blocks in the fried rice. It tends to be small in normal Chinese restaurants but theirs are big!! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is nice. They serve very fast. But there is always a long line during lunch and dinner hours. So I recommend to go there around 4pm especially on weekends. What I ordered Fried rice (big helping) with soup チャーハン大 ¥1200 Mabo tofu麻婆豆腐 ¥850 Twice-cooked pork回鍋肉 ¥950 Roasted chicken filletチキンチャーシュー¥850 Follow me on instagram @tokyo_local_life
