My favourite lunch place in the area. Really good value - the mackerel stewed in miso sauce is especially good.

Lovely seafood Izakaya. Great counter at the front to sit and watch the human traffic in kagurazaka. Tables towards the back are great for groups. Seafood is fresh and has excellent selection of food and matching shochu and nihonshu. Bookings around meal times are essential as this place is usually very busy.

I visited at 19 on a weekday evening. It's a stylish Japanese restaurant along 神楽坂's main street. There are about 10 counter seats, plenty of tables in the tatami seating area, and apparently a private banquet room at the back. Drinks start at 600円 and dishes at 800円, which felt about standard for the area. The compulsory appetizer was an assortment of starters in a wappa container, which got me excited. The assorted sashimi, 海老しんじょ, and salad all had decent portions and were delicious ☺️ The atmosphere is nice too, so I thought it would suit a date.
