Yakiago Shio Ramen Takahashi Shinjuku Main Store is a 1-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station and a 5-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station East Exit. Our specialty is salt ramen using the high-class ingredient "yakiago (flying fish)." The double soup of pork bone and yakiago creates a deep umami. We also have soy sauce ramen and tsukemen, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors, and our "ago-dashi ochazuke," where you put white rice into the remaining soup, is also well-received◎ It is easy to enter even for one person with mainly counter seats, and we are open until late at night in the Kabukicho area! If you are looking for ramen in Shinjuku, please stop by. Ramen Takahashi Shinjuku Main Store is just 1 minute from...

A ramen shop built around aroma. Yakiago Shio Ramen Takahashi Shinjuku Main Store is known for its yakiago broth—made from roasted flying fish, a style that creates a lighter but deeply layered flavor compared to heavier tonkotsu ramen. The fragrance arrives first. Then the clarity of the soup. This time, we ordered the Special Yakiago Broth Ramen with Rice Set, served with an ochazuke-style finish. After the noodles, rice is added to the remaining broth, extending the meal into a second rhythm. Not richness through heaviness, but through precision. In Shinjuku, even ramen can shift from intensity to delicacy within a single bowl. Part of how we read Shinjuku.

A ramen shop that sets itself apart from the usual pork based broths. Ramen Takahashi prides itself with their Yakiago broth. Yakiago is grilled flying fish and the broth is just divine. It is a light broth yet extremely flavorful. A nice change if you are tired of the usual pork based ramen broths. Being a light broth, one does not expect richness, but with this bowl there is a subtle richness that you can only find in fish based broth. The meat toppings were plenty and mixed well with the broth. The noodles were also top notch. A nice change in scenery from all the usual heavy ramen if you will. Only counter seating is available and can get cramped at times, lines can also get pretty long at times so best to come here earlier than the crowds to secure a seat. Highly recommend this place to ramen lovers👍

Firstly, the broth is really different. It has a strong grilled fish taste instead of the usual salty taste. Noddles are chewy and good too. Would be better if they heat the eggs and meat up before serving.

I usually don’t like fish-based soup because of the smell and the fear that it might be fishy, so I only ordered rice. The rice was really good But I ended up trying my partner’s dish — and it was surprisingly amazing. The fish broth was not fishy at all. It was fragrant, gently sweet, and incredibly rich. The noodles were perfectly chewy and soft , really delicious. I don’t know how famous this place is, but there was no line that day, and it honestly felt like the best hidden gem of the entire trip. 💓

Spicy miso ramen was super good. Space is a little tight but the service was good. Great chew on the noodles. The flying fish broth is refreshing and on the lighter side compared to the spicy miso. Would definitely come again 9/10
