This is a hidden gem tiny ramen shop that is located in the back alley, which one should take. Goggle map directs you in the front or main street but there is a narrow corridor that leads to the back of the building, the back alley. Order in a machine that dispenses tickets that is taken by a door host and given to the kitchen staff. Bar style sitting only where the soup is prepared in front of you. Free chilled water is in a push tap in arms length. One whole egg in the noodle is a plus for a delicious savory broth with soft firm noodles. Can’t go wrong with your selection including the side rice dishes. The Best where locals go around this area! Look for this one… Itadakimasu.
View on GoogleTheir Chicken Paitan ramen is amazing! The flavourful, creamy broth has the perfect thickness. The egg is perfectly cooked with a bright orange yolk that’s super pleasing. Noodles were just to my liking too - bouncy and chewy. I would definitely come back again and again. It’s a medium-sized ramen place, but the queue moves quickly. The staff will lead you to purchase a ticket first, then you’ll have to wait outside when seats are available. Also, bear in mind that this place is cash only.
View on GoogleIt was a classic dilemma: Ichiran Ramen or Ramen Hayashida—two rivals sitting practically next door to each other. We went with the underdog, probably because we always Ichiran.... Ordering is old-school via a vending machine (cash only, so come prepared like it’s 2008), and the menu keeps things simple with just six noodle options. No overthinking, no 47-page customization sheet—just pick and eat. We went for the chicken stock and the special shoyu broth. Both were solid, clean, and comforting. The shop itself is spotless, and everything feels well-run and efficient. Only minor issue? I thought the noodle portions were a little overwhelming, but good for big eaters.
View on GoogleBeen here twice and the taste is consistent. I got to try salt and chicken last time and this time I try the spicy ramen soup. Soup is thick and aromatic! But my favorite is still salt soup which is simple and easy to eat. Very refreshing and satisfying! Last time I came for lunch and the line was long. This time I try for dinner and the queue is a lot less. The wait is shorter.
View on GoogleSmall ramen shop with very limited seatings. We waited about 15-20 mins before getting in, which is honestly not bad at all. Google Maps took us to the main road for the entrance of the restaurant, but it was actually in the back alley. Just simply go around and you’ll find the entrance! There’s someone manning the door, but once they’re ready for you, the ordering machine is inside right by the door. The machine accepts both cash and card. I got the Shio (salt) ramen and my boyfriend got the Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. My bowl of ramen was great but if I were to choose a broth, definitely get the shoyu one. Can’t find this shoyu broth anywhere I live, not even close🥹 Will definitely come back to get it, the next time I come back to Japan! 🫶🏻
